Could is be used to hit and slice objects?** A: the blade is quite strong but the handle will snap off. It is a 8 inch piece of 1/4 inch thick rod welded on the end and covered with plastic. Display only. You can not fight with it. and sadly it will not help you bring back the glory of Rome. **Q: Is the blade of the sword smooth enough to be engraved?** A: You could engrave it, but the middle of the blade already has a pattern etched in it. The outer edges of the blade might work? **Q: Is it sharp** A: VERY sharp. **Q: How big is the overall Gladius?** A: 32 inches. Hope that helps. ## Frequently Bought Together - SZCO Supplies Roman Gladius Sword - Real Swords for Adults, 31" Stainless Steel Blade, Pewter and Wood Handle, Decorative Scabbard- Gladiator Sword with Wood Display Stand - Medieval Century Red Crest Roman Centurion Gallic Smiths Helmet for Gladiators Warriors for LARPERS --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/5309242-szco-supplies-roman-gladius-sword-real-swords-for-adults-31](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/5309242-szco-supplies-roman-gladius-sword-real-swords-for-adults-31) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
