These shakers are fantastic for Parmesan cheese, chili flakes, or anything else you need to sprinkle, but I’ll admit the tops were a bit tricky to get off at first. Once I managed that, though, they’ve been great to use. The metal design feels solid and durable, and the handles make them easy to grip, even during busy cooking sessions or pizza nights. The holes are just the right size for coarser toppings like grated Parmesan or chili flakes—they come out evenly without clogging or dumping too much at once. They’re also stylish enough to leave out on the counter or table, which is a nice bonus if you’re entertaining. Now that the tops are sorted, they’re super easy to refill and clean. They’ve become a staple in my kitchen, and having a pack of two is handy for keeping different seasonings ready to go. If you’re looking for sturdy, practical shakers with a bit of style, these are a great choice. Just be prepared to wrestle with the lids the first time!

I purchased these so that I could apply a thin, even coating of a flavor enhancer to a prescription diet food for my 18 year old cat. He has advanced chronic kidney disease but refuses to eat most kidney diets (I've tried many, wet and dry, including home made). He only tolerates the ProPlan dry kibble kidney diet. He doesn't love it, but he will eventually (reluctantly) eat it. To make it more palatable, I sprinkle a little freeze dried chicken (Stella & Chewy's Marie's Magical Dinner Dust) over the kibble. He loves the smell and taste of the chicken sprinkles and I can shake a little evenly over his food without adding too much protein that can harm his kidneys. These little shakers are perfect for this. I'm sure they'd be lovely for grated cheese or seasonings as well. Maybe also for use in the home or garden for shaking out powdered fertilizers, etc. I haven't seen any rust and the shakers clean up nicely. The hole size is sufficient so that most of the chicken particles get through, although a few get stuck - the particles aren't really powder or dust, more like the consistency of grated cheese. The plastic cap on top is perfect for preserving freshness and keeping out moisture and unwanted "critters", although I'm not sure how long the plastic will last over time.

Took 1 Star b/c as many said, the plastic topper is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I had to cut it (see pic) so I could remove it and use it. You do need the plastic cap for freshness retention. Otherwise, it works as intended.

The metal Parmesan cheese shakers are very thinly made. The handles are easily broken. I do like the size. We had much difficulty getting the plastic lids off. The lids are very thin also. Not the quality I had expected.

I bought this to store and spread clover and microclover seeds in my yard as an upgrade from the upcycled parmesan cheese canister I was using. The holes are a perfect size for these seeds and since it it metal, it does a much better job of keeping light out during storage.

I liked it, but they made false claims of having a cover! I wouldn’t buy this if you were counting on a cover! My husband an engineer, couldn’t get it off!!! So mean that I wouldn’t buy this product. If you do, good luck getting the cover off when it arrives!

The holes are definitely not large enough for chilli flakes or coarse herbs as described. The plastic caps on them are already cracked in spots. Very disappointing as they were bought for a chilli fiend.

A great, versatile shaker. Not just for cheese. I use one to sprinkle carpet deodorant powder before vacuuming.

I believe that this could have been extremely useful but unfortunately I cannot get the plastic lid off to be able to use the shaker part.
