I like that the cubes are precut for easy separation. Also seed hole are pre cut as well.

I have the LettuceGrow nook and I wanted to start my seeds in my Aerogarden so as I harvested from LettuceGrow, I'd have seedlings ready to pop in. These are the most economical medium for that that I've found. They absolutely crumble and smash if you aren't very gentle while they're dry. I use a butter knife to carefully remove a few rows and toss the rows in water. After just a minute or two they easily separate into cubes. I keep the dry, unused horticubes in the box they came in on my shelf and make sure not to set anything heavy on top that would damage them. The pictures show how the fit into the Aerogarden regular tray and the Aerogarden seed starter tray that's sold separately. As long as you understand that they're a bit delicate until wet and you can't just break off dry chunks and expect them to be fine, then you'll not have an issue.

I'm still trying to get seeds to germinate. I have never used them before. I learning.

i love these , been using them for 2 1/2 years now, they were a deal at 29.95 , from the company i usually purchase them from , then the company raised the Price $10, i looked around, Amazon had them for my usual Price, i Stocked Up, needless to say. Now i see that Amazon has the Higher Price i only had on problem with the Oasis Cubes i all these years with an inferior softer batch with spurrious witite bits in the product, i wrote to the mfr. never received a reply
