The only drawback is the natural oils on your skin can make the ink skip so be careful not to drag your hand and definitely don't wear lotions! But if I’m taking notes and need to be speedy? I was surprised to find, however, that the dot grid pattern is only on the front side. I guess it's my fault for not reading the description closely enough, but this decision makes the paper unusable for my intended purpose - which is to construct pocket notebooks with it. I find it very strange to have dot grid pattern only on one side. Even if I was using this loose-leaf for note-taking I would want the pattern to be consistent on each side of the page.
