Great product for the money
This is a cracking bandsaw for the money , will suit a small workshop or DIY use , the set up was easy with the instructor booklet , blade already came fitted so not a lot to do in regards getting it set up .It rips through 18mm ply like butter , fence is pretty sturdy too.the customer service also from toolsave was second to none when I had a small query about the item they answered all of my questions with no hassle at all , would certainly recommend and will indeed purchase from this company again! Great stuff , thank you

A great machine -The Lumberjack Bandsaw BS254 Professional 254mm 10" Tilt Table Woodworking
I was impressed with my Lumberjack Bandsaw it looks even better than the photos. Easy to assemble (they supply all the necessary tools - Allan keys and spanner - and perfect for what I intend to use it for. Plus it has a great attachment for cutting circular pieces not sure if other machines of this price range offer that. Also a tilt table for those special cuts and an adjustable attachment for cutting any angle you need. A strong well built piece of kit. Can be fixed to the ground if wished but I think for me it will be fine without doing that, as it allows me to drag it out into workshop for larger cuts. Very low noise level, comes with a box draw to catch most of the waste sawdust, but has an outlet for attaching a hoover to extract waste when doing long runs. The guide rail sits on a guide with measurements on, both can be adjusted to get the measurement scale correct. As others have said may upgrade the 12mm bandsaw to a better grade and also buy a 6mm bandsaw for those circular cuts, which I can't wait to try out. I gave 4 stars for Accuracy and thickness as I still need to try that out. Otherwise Value for money definitely ***** and Overall rating ***** too.

Great value for a hobby woodworker
I bought this bandsaw as I needed something relatively compact and not too heavy to move around, as my workshop is just a large shed. I was also reluctant to spend too much as I don't know how heavily I will use it, but wanted something big enough to do a range of cuts. This Lumberjack seemed the best balance of cost, features and quality, and although I haven't used and abused it to the fullest yet, I've done a lot of test cuts, have been very impressed so far and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any hobbyist looking for a good value but pretty capable machinePros- Good build quality, you can't expect top tier at this price point, but for what it costs, I'm impressed by the build quality overall- Easy to assemble, I will probably replace the legs with some sort of base with wheels so it's easier to move, but what it comes with is solid and easy to put together- Included accessories, comes with a decent fence (which can be swapped between 2 positions for different material thickness), miter gauge, push stick and circle cutting jig, nice to have these all included- Accuracy, with a bit of fine tuning and adjustment of the bearings, table and fence, everything squares up nicely- Cutting, obviously this won't be as good as a pro grade machine, but this seems plenty accurate enough for my purposes, I've tested splitting a chunk of 2x4 height ways, splitting a 12mm thick piece of oak in half, ripping some short Sapele boards, and cutting small wedges out of a 6mm sheet of oak, all worked great and cut cleanly, not quite as clean as say a table saw, but would only need a quick sand to smooth off- Manufacturer support, Lumberjack support line has been very and helpful and resposive to a couple of minor issues I had (detailed in the cons)Neutral- Blade guard, this extends a fair way down, covering the bearings, which is good for safety as it covers more of the blade, but makes it a little awkward to see your cut lines if you lower it to within a few mm of your workpiece as recommended- Bearing alignment, this is a little fiddly and awkward to see the gap between the blade and bearings due to the aforementioned length of the blade guard, not terrible but would be easier if the blade guard was a little shorter- The fence attachment has a ruler sticker on, mine has a small piece scratched out of it (presumably knocked in transit), not a big deal. It seems reasonably accurate, hard to get this perfectly aligned so I won't rely 100% on it, but it's handy to get the fence roughly lined up before doing finer measurementCons- Mine would not switch on out of the box, there are safety switches on the top and bottom doors that prevent the machine from starting if the doors are not locked closed, and these are activated by small metal posts that stick out of the door. The bottom one on mine needed bending out a little as it wasn't pressing the switch properly (the switch could have been moved slightly as well but it was quicker to just give the post a slight bend), I found this out by calling the Lumberjack support line, they were very quick to answer, guessed this was the issue straight away and were able to talk me through fixing it- Blade guard alignment, after aligning the bearings to within 0.5mm of the blade as per the recommended alignment in the manual and doing a few test cuts, I noticed that the the right bearing was spinning when I had the blade guard in the lowest position and the left was spinning when it was at the highest position. The blade guard appears to be slightly misaligned to the blade, it's only off by about 0.2 degrees (checked with a digital angle finder), but with the bearings aligned as close to the blade as recommended this does cause them to touch at the extremes of the height adjustment. Lumberjack support have again been very helpful and arranged to collect the saw to have it checked. This may be a manufacturing issue or may be within fault tolerance for a saw of this price range, I'll find out soon. I've been advised it will be fixed or replaced if deemed faulty, and if not then I'll just take it back as is, do a bit more fine tuning of the bearing alignment and accept that this is just to be expected of a hobby grade machine

A real all rounder.
Arrived today. About an hour and 45mins to set up- bolt legs etc and ensure blade was positioned correctly for use. Not entirely simple positioning the blsde guides but not complicated either. Just took a little while to read the instructions, refer these to the machine and set it up.A great saw. Gave it plenty of work today- all hardwood, oak, ash, holly, mahogany. The saw handled everything without issue. All on high speed. Everything is solid. Joints are welded, angles are true. Slight tendency to drift on starting the cut. Controlled moderate not fast speed is essential.Very happy and satisfied. Ok, its not cheap, but depth of cut is better than most others in this price bracket. Haven't attempted curved cuts but shan't try this without a thinner blade. Don't anticipate problems based on today's results.I don't think this is too soon to write this as the saw is better than i had anticipated. Not a real or professional workhorse but i'm confident this will be my new go-to for furniture restoration, woodworking and also trimming the odd log or two down to size. This is an all rounder which was just what i was after. The blade is definitely adequate as well. Certainly good enough for use at the moment. No regrets whatsoever. For anyone who's interested, the sawdust is fine and ideal for bolstering glue in loose joints! The only reason there's no photo to evidence this as a genuine review is that i am not happy to give Amazon access to phone files!Am definitely a satisfied customer- albeit light in the pocket area now!
