One thing though, I know it was 3 years ago, but Dizzy Dave Willis is completely wrong. He says that the greater the gauge, the less tension required, but the exact opposite is the case. **Q: How long are the baritone version of these? I'm looking at using them on a bass vi and tuning it b-b** A: Hi to be honest I don't know. However, I did find all strings to have at least 12" (30cm) length more than needed for a standard sized 12 string guitar. Excellent quality and for the price I would "suggest" worth a punt. Cheers now ... **Q: What size would you guys reccommend for a floyd rose bridge? The mediums seem to have too much tension, but the medium lights are too bright...** A: 10's are a great standard if you want a little extra stability and power at standard tuning or Eb. If you prefer bends, or have a light touch, 9's are the way to go. And as suggested in a previous post hybrid gauges should provide the best of both!Setup adjustment is usually required when changing string tension on a floyd rose trem, if you find the bridge is lifting, adjust the springs on the rear of the guitar to compensate and retune. There are great guides on how to do this online or else see your nearest tech!Thanks,Paulguitar.co.uk **Q: Hi, are these suitable for a lap steel build? Making one for my son and know very little about guitars. If not can you recommend something. Thanks** A: I play conventional electric and acoustic/electric guitars (including slide playing), but not a lap steel, so I'm not ideally placed to advise. However, I can strongly recommend D'Addario strings as I've used them for many years with total satisfaction, but I'd suggest you do an internet search for advice on stringing i.e., which gauge will suit your son best, then check out D'Addario for a match on Amazon. D'Addario have a range of at least 4 different gauges for pedal steel. ## Frequently Bought Together - D'Addario Guitar Strings - XL Nickel Electric Guitar Strings - EXL110-B25 - Perfect Intonation, Consistent Feel, Reliable Durability - For 6 String Guitars - 10-46 Regular Light 25-Set Bulk Box - D'Addario Guitar Strings - Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings - EJ16-B25 - Rich, Full Tonal Spectrum - For 6 String Guitars - 12-53 Light, 25-Set Bulk Box --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/53029479-daddario-xl-nickel-exl110-b25-electric-guitar-strings-10-46](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/53029479-daddario-xl-nickel-exl110-b25-electric-guitar-strings-10-46) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
