Was shopping for support wire for my wired panel catio, didn't want anything too thin or that would instantly start rusting so I primarily was looking at aluminum rods, which are very similar to these plant stakes at 1/8 Inch(0.125"-3.175mm) diameter, which is slightly thicker than a standard wire coat hanger. Easy to do light bends by hand, harder tighter bends with some pliers. Biggest challenge is most aluminum and steel rods rods are 12" with no more than 16" or 18" lengths. My wire catio panels are 12" inches square, so I wanted something a little longer that I can use to reinforce any weak areas. Low and behold these plant stakes are a better deal. Love that you can get them in dark brown coated color so they blend in like almost being invisible. The coating means these steel rods won't rust so long as the coating doesn't chip or break off. The steel bends well and the coating seem sturdy with a slight texture. Better pricing than aluminum rods, only misgiving is they aren't exactly 18" long, more like 17.5" inches when measured. Come with a small bundle of foil twist ties, also dark in color to blend in well. Perfect for crafting or varied projects.

I love these things. They work great by themselves if you have one big plant to hold up or you can bend over in half to hold a smaller one in place. Great value too

I ordered these for my Snake Plant. They are sturdy and work well. I appreciate that they aren't noticeable due to the green color. They are the perfect size and a good value.

These are supposed to be bendable. I can't bend them no matter how hard I try. Not happy. I also didn't try to bend them until it was passed the return date. My fault. Lesson learned. I inspect everything before I use now. I'm still using them, but it would be nice to be able to bend them.

I originally made this purchase for my orchid plants but ended up using it on my other plants as well and WOW- a total game changer! I bought the clips separately because I didn’t notice that these came with their own ties. The sticks are well built, perfect in length, easy to use with multiple types of plants, and look just like the picture. I like that they’re green because they sort of blend in. Overall, good value for the price paid. Would repurchase and would recommend.
