Nu Finish Car Scratch Remover, Scratch Removal for Cars Eliminates Paint Scrapes, Scuffs, Haze and Swirls on Cars, Boats and Motorcycles , 6.5 Oz, White

I have been using Nu-Finish for years and have found it to be as marketed---long-lasting! When I saw Scratch Doctor, I wanted to try it, too, since I figured that with the Nu-Finish name attached to it, it had to work well, right? I was very pleased, but I do have to say that it will not COMPLETELY remove ALL fine lines or scratches. It IMPROVES them. What I have found is that it works best on a car's headlights. Newer cars (1998 and later) have headlights made of plastic instead of glass. These dull over time (from the sun) and can become scratched (from rocks and wind abrasion). Voila! Using Scratch Doctor removes a great deal of the discoloration and most scratches. Plus, if used regularly, it helps to prevent further discoloration. I am very pleased since using it is much cheaper than having the headlights polished professionally.

Absolutely love this scratch remover, it has helped me get several scratches out from my white Tacoma. Would buy again.

Save your money. It is not an expensive product but, it does not work. I followed the instructions correctly and the scratches are still there. I don't know if a more expensive product would work better. I will go to a friendly body / collision shop and see if they can help.

Here is what this product will do and what it will not do: it will remove most of the paint left behind by whatever came into contact with your car. It will NOT smooth, blend, or otherwise repair the paint of YOUR car which was blemished by whatever came into contact with your car. Therefore, except for the most superficial of scratches, you will probably be disappointed in the performance of this product. The video I saw in the advertisement for this product is pure fiction. However, I got my tube of the Scratch Doctor for under $10 and my wife says the area where I used it looks better. So, it might be worth trying it. Just do not expect perfection.

Works just as they promise. It is not going to work miracles but it does handle the small no wax coat scratches we all get. ( I find it odd they put the coating on there so we do not have to wax the car, but then we have to spend as much time or more dealing with a coating that a fingernail can scar up ) I took off one star, as it can be very messy, despite the dispenser bottle you will have it all over your hands. And it can take forever to dry, far more than wax...but it will buff up well IF its dry before you start on it.

For some reason, this didn't work on my thin, fine scratch on my car. it didn't do anything.is there a trick to it? I have used this for years, and it always worked. But not this time. almost like a chemical was left out. of it. very puzzling.
