I just love this little tool, I was having trouble lining my bun tins with pastry cases for mince pies, my manicured nails got in the way! This is perfect for the job, I rolled my pastry out in the normal way and simple placed the individual discs on top of where I wanted them and gently pressed them into place. After some practice it’s possible to gently move them into position making the perfect cup of pastry ready to be filled and capped ready to bake. The finished pies were also easy to remove as I had given each cup a quick spray with 1 cal fry light spray

Product arrived with a split in the wood. It works very well. Pressing pastry down for mince pies in seconds, which helps prevent shrinkage.

Never used one before but absolutely delighted with it. Especially the small end for mini tartlets. It made the job so easy.

Hard corners (no fillet/radius) tend to cut through pastry if you are not careful, particularly if using in a larger tin hole and moving the tamper around. Made my own in the end.

Good concept, but the pastry sticks to the wood. Worked better when I wrapped it in buttered cling film. Probably won’t use again.

It's a little smaller than I thought but havnt used it yet. Pork pies being made next week so looking forward to using it
