Prepac 31.5 in. Chest 5 Drawers

All assembled, all is well. The dye marker for any damages is really nice and the packaging was awesome. The assembling was not that difficult, but of course took some figuring out. If I had any complaint it was that the packages of bits and pieces for assembling was all loose, so I had to fish out the exact pieces I was looking for. Minor complaint. If I was doing this for a living it would be annoying but doing it once is no problem at all. Once assembled, very sturdy and looks very nice. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

J'ai acheté 2 fois ce meuble en un seul achat et les 2 avaient le même problème, il manquait un morceaux. J'ai eu 2 côté droit au lieu d'avoir 1 droit et 1 gauche. J'ai contacté le service à la clientèle et on me dit qu'on m'envoie les morceaux. 1 semaine plus tard, je les recontacte pour savoir quand ça va rentrer, on me dit que c'est back order. 2-3 heures plus tard, j'ai un courriel comme de quoi que c'est envoyé finalement ?! 1 semaine plus tard, je reçois enfin les morceaux!! Je déballe et ils m'ont envoyé une paire au lieu de 2 côtés gauche... Très mécontente, je renvoie un courriel pour dire ce qui s'est passé et je dois refaire le processus pour avoir mon autre morceau manquant!! Deux semaines plus tard, je reçois encore une paire mais je peux enfin finir mes meubles! Ça m'a pris 6 semaines pour pouvoir finir mon projet !! Points positifs : S'assemble avec un code de couleur Instructions simples Quand même solide Dimensions et couleur tel que décrit Le prix va avec la qualité Points négatifs : 1ere chose dans le livre d'instruction : comment commander des morceaux manquants!! 😅 Morceaux manquants Rien sous le dernier tiroir pour solidifier le tout Fond des tiroirs avec un carton très mince 1 tiroir de chaque meuble que les trous des poignées ne sont pas alignées mais capable de mettre les poignées Les coins sont faciles à brisés, il y a un crayon pour colorier la melamine

I was looking for a dresser with particular dimensions and this was the best one I could find for face value. I ended up having it shipped to my work to avoid porch pirates at my home. (No one is going to be able to steal this from your porch…) Turns out it’s shipped in a giant 92 pound box. My mistake for not looking at the weight beforehand! It took the delivery driver and their helper to get it in the building and me convincing a coworker to help me carry it to my car. After getting it home, I noticed straight out of the box that some of the front facing wooded pieces were chipped and dented. I went ahead and put it together regardless. (I can touch them up with paint later) The instructions were pretty straightforward. It calls for a flathead, Phillips, a hammer and recommends at least two people to assemble. I was able to assemble it myself but I would recommend getting an extra hand moving it if you’re not confident enough. I was able to knock it out in about an hour. The directions have all the parts labeled by letter but my parts were not labeled out of the box. If you’ve ever put together a Lego set it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out though. Although I didn’t need them, most steps have a QR code to direct you to a how to video if need be. I would recommend using a drill for steps 19 and 20 if you have one on hand, if not I hope you appreciate a good forearm workout. All in all I would rate the build 2/5. For a novice or ill equipped builder I can see it being a bit tough. Quality wise, I would give it a 3/5. I do notice some gaps between the drawers but they’re decently sized for storage. The chipping could be due to shipping but I do worry that it will easily chip over time. Also be warned, your home and whatever clothing you store are going to smell like wood for awhile. If you have the space/time to air it out it could help? To recap: Pros: - Sturdy. - Decent sized drawers. - Fit the space I needed it for perfectly. - Straight forward directions. - Comes with a tip over restraint to install. Cons: - No parts were labeled. - Heavy! (92 pounds in the box) - Some of the wooden parts arrived chipped or dented. (mostly the front facing ones) - Some steps towards the end of the instructions will require a drill. (even though it says screwdriver) - Noticeable gaps between drawers. - Long lasting wood smell.

Worried about having to assemble the drawers after a really bad experience with ick-ee-ah. However, worry was unwarranted. Easy to assemble. Solid piece. Everything lined up perfectly and all the pieces and hardware were included. I would recommend using a drill to save time and a lot of effort. Just a basic Black & decker will do it. Only ‘gripe ‘ is this dresser should be packaged in two boxes. UPS was kind enough to deliver inside my garage. However, after cracking the carton open, I had many runs to’ing and fro’ing my bedroom — 3 floors. Total time to assemble was 2.75 hrs, solo, and I really took my time to inventory everything first and read the instructions before beginning. Great piece. I would highly recommend and would purchase from this company again.

Arrived in 10 days and packaged extremely well. Looked a little overwhelming when I pulled out the parts, but instructions were good and included AR code to videos on some of the tricky connections. Instructions said 60 mins with 2 people. I did it over a few hours on my own, with lots of breaks in between. The particleboard is a bit on the smelly side but, that would be my only negative. Take your time and dont use a drill, while it may be quicker the odds of over drilling and splitting the wood. It is a beautiful piece of furniture for price I paid. Very happy and would buy again from a Canadian company 🇨🇦
