KuaiLu Mens Sport Flip Flops Orthotic Thong Sandals With Arch Support

I bought two pairs of flip flops two years ago. Wanted to see which ones would feel best on my foot and which one would be a pretender. I didn't want to spend $100 or even $50 if it was possible. Wsy back in the day, I bought a pair of expensive guarachi sandals (the kind with adjustable straps around the heel and tire treads for soles. Paid almost $100 for those and they lasted me 25 years until the treads went bare.) At that point I wanted to venture back into basic slip on flip flops but I hated how most of the cheap ones would slip off my heel and have no srch support. This lead me to my search for the ultimate flip-flop at under $50. I read a ton of reviews and taking note of positive and negative aspects and finally narrowed it down to 2 brands: KuaiLu and Hobibear (Gubarun) . I was never able to figure out which country they came from but kind of assumed they were from China. The reviews were predominantly positive for both so I bought one pair each for less than $60 total. Keep in mind this was 2 years ago. Tried on both and was more than pleasantly surprised at the fit and support. Wow, major plus points for both. I'm a size 11 foot so purchasing shoes online is ALWAYS a crap shoot/ roll of the dice scenario. Both these flip flops felt so good i decided to do a week or so with one pair and then switch over to the other pair. Over time I figured I would come up with a clear winner. Now keep in mind that I was remembering the negatives of each shoe as written in the reviews, so I assumed that would take time. Keep in mind also that most reviews are written within a few weeks of purchase, while the emotional 'shine is still on the shoe'. Ok. Fast forward to this week, end of June, and almost exactly two years after purchasing both pairs of shoes. I started to have a slight preference for the Kailua due to its arch support and (for lack of a better, more descriptive term) hugability. These shoes were gripping my feet perfectly from the moment I slipped them on. The Hobibear sandals were just a smidge less so but I still stayed with the 'program', one week on and one week off (more or less). I like both these pairs but I love the Kailua shoes as my go-to shoes...2 years from purchase. Last week I got a new pair of Kailua sandals as a Father's Day present. It seems someone peeked at an old 'want list' I had on Amazon and figured i needed some. I was excited and expressed how much I loved them and proceeded to put them on the shelf for when the inevitable would happen (whatever that would be). 2 days later I was in the yard tending to some gardening duties in the hot sun. I squatted down with bent knees which caused the balls of my feet to flex/bend and..... pop! The centerpiece of the thong that runs into the sole of the shoe between the big toe and the 2nd toe broke. Worn out broken, not slipped out of the sole. I mention this because I remembered one other reviewer saying he had these shoes but they only lasted a month or so. Well here I am at the end of 2 years of competition. With relatively equal use of each pair, I can figure these Kailua shoes lasted me one year and I think I paid $28 for them. Would i recommend them? Oh heck YES! And the absolute best thing is.....I have a new pair of the same shoes just standing by ready for action. And a very good pair of Hobibear shoes still holding up well. Bottom line: 10 points for KuaiLu, 9 points for Hobibear. KuaiLu just has a slightly better hugability that i love. Hopefully this will help you shoppers who appreciate long term reviews. And for you Amazon shoppers, the scores would then be 5 versus 4.5. Walk on in comfort!

I originally purchased a pair of these KuaiLu orthotic flip flops in Black (Size 12) about eight months ago, and they have been an exceptional addition to my daily footwear rotation. I have worn them absolutely everywhere, and they have held up incredibly well under heavy, everyday use. FANTASTIC COMFORT AND REAL ARCH SUPPORT The built-in orthotic arch support is phenomenal. It offers a very supportive, noticeable lift that genuinely helps relieve foot fatigue and pain after long periods of walking. The texture of the footbed strikes the perfect balance between being soft and cushioned against the bottom of your foot while remaining firm enough to keep your stride aligned. The strap between the toes was comfortable right out of the box and didn't require any painful breaking-in period. EXCELLENT ALL-WEATHER TRACTION One major highlight I noticed is the slip-resistant grip on the bottom sole. I walk through my neighborhood regularly, and these sandals have excellent traction on slick, wet concrete driveways immediately after a heavy rain. The rubber soles are incredibly durable—even after eight months of constant pavement walking, they never flattened out, gave way, or lost any material. AN HONEST DURABILITY NOTE After eight months of non-stop use everywhere I went, I did recently notice that the front thong strap was starting to stretch out a bit. I am not entirely sure if this is a minor manufacturing wear defect or just the natural result of putting massive mileage on them. However, because I enjoyed the comfort and support so much, I was more than willing to give them another try. I actually just ordered a second pair to have ready before the original strap ultimately snaps. PROS -Highly supportive orthotic arch lift that genuinely helps with foot pain. -Soft, comfortable footbed that retains its shape under heavy daily use. -Top-tier sole traction on slick, wet driveways and pavements. -Comfortable thong strap that doesn't rub or blister. CONS -The front thong strap can start to stretch out after about 8 months of heavy, everyday use. FINAL VERDICT These are excellent, highly supportive sandals that outperform generic summer flip flops by a mile. Even with the minor strap stretching down the road, the comfort and durability are well worth the price. I am happily on my second pair and highly recommend them!

I have had these flip-flops for two years. I am an aquatics, professional, and use them extensively on a cement outdoor pool deck. You need to be aware that once the soles lose their tread, they are extremely slippery and many wet situations. As you can see in the pictures they have worn to flat bottoms. The uppers are very comfortable and fully intact. I would buy them again, because I’ve been overall happy with them.

My husband loves these flip-flops! They look much nicer than your average pair of sandals, so they're easy to wear with just about anything. He says they're very comfortable, even after wearing them for long periods, and the arch support is excellent. They also seem very well made and durable, holding up well with regular use. If you're looking for a comfortable, supportive flip-flop that looks good and feels like it will last, these are a great choice. We'd definitely buy them again.

Overall very pleased with these new sandals. The fit well and are very comfortable. I normally wear a size 10.5 in athletic shoes but these are an 11 and seem slightly smaller. Maybe the sizes run slightly smaller. Only complaint it the toe post seems a little too far back, 1/4 in maybe, my foot is all the way forward and lined up in the heel bit plenty of room in front of my toes. No big deal doesn't look or feel weird. So I would highly recommend as I will probably buy these again. I go through a lot of flip flops hanging and working by the pool and these seem to be versatile enough to do the job and at great price point.

My experience was the size runs small. I wear a size 13 shoe and my heel was hanging over the back of this flop while there was ample room in front of the toes. Overall, the quality looks good and they felt comfortable for a little while, but the straps were way too tight, so I’m going up a size.

Outstanding quality and comfort for the money. Very comfortable without the need for any break-in. They are not Olukai level of build or quality but well worth the cost for what these deliver. Arch support is mid level and not too high. About perfect. Sizing is spot on. I wear a size 11 in Olukai and these size 11 is spot on. Highly recommend.

Good comfy sandals. I like the comfort and support, seem good for wearing for long periods of time. The leather looks nice and I got the brown, which I'm happy with. I like the arch support and cushion. I got my same size as my US shoe size (size 13) and they fit well. I wear them at BJJ and wear them after as recovery sandals, no need for slides. These are great for that.

Only had these 2 months and they have broken.. The right one started to go first then the left broke completely. Not what you'd expect after such a short space of time.
