Absolute game changer for new finnicky gas cans
This is great - easy to install and makes the gas can significantly easier to use and pour from without getting gas on your hand or spilling it compared to the newer style with the spout being stored INSIDE the gas tank and in constant contact with the gas itself. My shed used to smell for days after refilling the mower even if I didn't spill anything when pouring and now any smell dissipates before I'm finished mowing the lawn. My neighbor borrowed my mower and was so impressed he was trying to offer me $50 for my can - since I ended up with two extras I upgrade his can as well for free and still have a spare for myself in the future when I get an additional gas can.Just be careful drilling the vent hole in to plastic cans because the plastic shavings can end up inside the can. Obviously if metal be careful of sparks and where you do this. If whatever gas powered device you're using doesn't have a gas filter you should do yourself a favor regardless and pick up a cheap kit from here with tubing, clamps, and an in-line filter for $10 to install in a few minutes yourself. This is exactly what I did on my early 2000's era lawn mower and ended up catching a number of plastic shavings in the filter.

Great improvement-gas cans are usable again!
I had several gas cans which were impossible to use without spraying fuel all over due to the spring-loaded spouts that came with them. After multiple failed attempts to fill our lawn tractor, lawn mower, etc. we would only use these cans to transport and store fuel until one of the cans with the old, functional spout was available. We would transfer the fuel by removing the spring-loaded spout and pouring the gas into the other can using a funnel. Then I saw these spouts on Amazon...problem solved. I started with one 5 gallon can, replacing the unusable spout with the new one. No leakage, but the gas would come out in waves due to the absence of a vent. I installed one of the vents included in the package using the drill bit that is also included....what an improvement! Perfectly smooth flow now.The package I chose had three spouts and 3 fine thread and 3 coarse thread screw on caps. I have another can with an opening larger than these so I may try to bring it back to life with a new spout. I was able to use all 3 spouts in this set and certainly got my money's worth. I can now refuel our lawn equipment without spilling or spraying and have more usable cans which means fewer trips when our boat needs refueling. I'm very happy with this product.

Easy pouring and no spilling
If you have a plastic container for gas, diesel, kerosene, etc. and it is one that doesn’t have the small capped vent or has the trip lock that you have to press to pour- then you need this kit. This is my 2nd purchase as we have all the above type containers. I have been using the first kit for over a year. The gasket is holding and get no leaks but it has to be tightened down. It saves spillage.

Easy install
Easy to install and don't leak.I have old Blitz gas containers in 1, 2+, and 5 gallon sizes. The convoluted caps they came with have been replaced a lot of times over the years with OEM style caps and aftermarket caps. Nothing like the smell of gas leaking from three or four gas cans oon your way home after filling them. The last replacements I purchased were a similar style but the design of the screw cap on the filler tube cap these vesus the cheap interference fit seals much better. The rubber type gasket in the screw cap and the cap body that seals the can and spout is more fuller and more robust. The other replacements I purchased had gasket failure after a couple weeks. I did not install the vent caps. I use the 5 gallon cans for longer term gas storage and use 1 gal and 2 gal can as working cans for both straight and 2 stroke mix. These spounts have held up so far and the threads have matched up well for my application.

Old cans pour fantastic now
After 15 years of dealing with the "new" style gas cans, I finally had enough of the glug, dribble, glug. I've seen these kits for years and have no real excuse for not buying it sooner. The kit fit both of my 5 gallon plastic jugs with different threads. I could not be happier with the way they poor. Probably saving an hour a year not waiting on that glug glug bs. Just buy this kit and thank me later.

Fit my ‘liquid storage containers’ perfectly
OMG, I had an assortment of gas cans that all had different gov’t mandated eco spouts ( or whatever you call it, you know, the only ones that are legal to sell now.) Two were broken and slopped gas everywhere when I tried to fill my mowers, and the newest can was so hard to use I was taking the whole spout off to gas up the rider. These fit my cans from different manufacturers just fine. Once they’re empty I’ll add the vent plug, but for now they work better than before, and I’m not spilling gas all over the place.

Resurrect those unused fuel containers!
I read several of the reviews before ordering these and since they were reasonably priced I decided to give them a try. I know many of us have old fuel containers we no longer use because of the spring-loaded spout and constant spills. About a month ago, I converted my 5 gallon unvented diesel container (threw away the broken spring spout and installed the new spout and vent). No leaks and nice flexible spout that fits securely. Today, I started digging through some of my old containers that haven’t been used for years and converted one of my old 2 gallon gas cans to this new system (see pic) . And, I still have another spout remaining. Great deal!!

Great gas can spout replacements!
Exactly what I needed to get rid of the sorry “environmentally correct”, which actually means useless, gas can spouts which are forced on you these days. These are a perfect example of the old simple stuff being so much better than this new garbage. These are very inexpensive and work great, what more could you want?
