Give it about a month to kick in! It works!
I think this stuff works. Keep reading if you are apprehensive or only tried this for only one month/one bottle because I think it took weeks for it to work on my dog til I noticed results. My 12 lb 17 year old papihuahua was diagnosed with a heart murmur and enlarged heart 10 years ago. He takes vetmedin and furosemide twice a day. A couple years ago he developed the relentless trachea collapse cough and was prescribed hydrocodeine. So now he takes that every day too, at least twice a day lately, but before this product sometimes 4 times a day which didn’t seem to work. A few years ago he needed codeine maybe once a week until last September he started needing it more frequently, then daily, then twice a day, then we needed to increase from 1/4 pill twice a day to 1/2 pill twice a day. In the last couple months my vet has given the okay that it’s even ok to give him 1/2 a pill every 6 hours because every 8 hours he was still having fits! But it still didn’t seem to help and I hate giving him so much codeine. I bought my first bottle of this the first week of May and it lasted 2-3 weeks, I would put 1/4 tsp in his breakfast & dinner. I didn’t think it made too much of a difference so when I ran out I didn’t buy more. I didn’t notice it at the time but after a couple weeks his cough seemed to lessen, he wasn’t having such bad fits at night (he goes out the doggy door at night when he is having a fit in the middle of the night to go outside for a bit and comes back in when his coughing stops but then it comes back soon after or when he wakes up. His coughing seems to happen when he wakes up from sleeping especially at night🙁), I wasn’t needing to give him codeine every 6 hours (twice a day in his breakfast and dinner was fine), but again, I didn’t really notice it at the time until about 2-3 weeks after the bottle ran out, his coughing got worse again. I started to stress again. I kept wondering what changed, scared that it might be time to put him down cause he’s in such discomfort, but then I realized that it could have been this product. Because I read the reviews saying it worked right away for other peoples’ dogs, and it wasn’t with mine, I thought it wasn’t worth buying another bottle. But I think his condition is so bad that it took a couple weeks to make a difference, and that’s why it lasted a couple weeks after I stopped giving it to him because it was a matter of it being in his system. I bought a second bottle to test my theory out and sure enough, about 2 weeks later, the amount and intensity of his coughing has dramatically lessened. He can sleep better at night. The chance that he will wake up from sleeping and go into a painful-sounding coughing fit went from almost 100% to 30% now. Im a couple days away from finishing my second bottle and im definitely refilling for the rest of his life. I can only hope that the longer he takes it, the less hydrocodeine he will need in the future 🤞. If your dogs coughing is really bad that even codeine doesn’t seem to work, and this product doesn’t work overnight for your pup, I suggest giving it a few weeks to a month for it to kick in.

Seems to work so far
Its only been 5 days but our dog was choking to death and needed way more hydrocodone within 2 months. So ours is 10 lb Pom collapsing trachea, 9 years old, her coughing started about a year ago and went from zero to mach 10 immediately. Iwe were able to immediately reduce the hydro to 3 doses and 2 doses of the Amazon syrup in between the 3 hrdro doses and its working so far.

Definitely saw symptom relief
I was rather skeptical but my old Chihuahua/fox terrier pal is suffering trachea collapse and has had some bad coughing spells so I bit the bullet and ordered this product. Not expecting much, and it was expensive, but I hate to see her in discomfort and suffering. Gave her a dose with her food and within a short time I noticed improvement in the severity and duration of her coughing spells. This product didn't stop her coughing, but it did seem to help quite a bit. You don't get a very big bottle, but the dose is small and it seems to last a good while. I have usually only had to give her a dose a day with her food and she actually likes it. So I give it a thumbs up. Not a cure, but a solid improvement in her symptoms for now.

Doesn’t Do Much For Collapsed Trachea
I’ve bought HomeoPet’s cough remedy m times as it seems to do the best for my fur baby’s collapsed trachea but they recently stopped selling it here so I figured I’d try this since the reviews seemed somewhat promising. Unfortunately this stuff doesn’t do much to calm her cough even after 2 weeks but she does enjoy the taste. It’s just a liquified honey with a few herbs. More than likely won’t try this again.

Waste Of Money…….
9 lb, 14 y/o Yorkie with terrible hacking persistent coughing due to tracheal collapse. I tried this in hopes it would be of some help. It has been an utter and complete waste of money and time. Her cough might not be worse, but it surely is not any better. I’m not a fan of “herbal” medicine and this is a great example as to why. If you want to try something like this, at least get a cheaper one so you won’t waste so much money.

THE best help for my Pomeranian
This has been a lifesaver for my little Pom. He has a collapsed trachea as well as a heart murmur, so both cause reverse, sneezing and coughing. He doesn’t really like the flavor so I have to pour a little bit into a pill pocket. But it’s pretty easy to give it to him that way. He stays pretty relaxed. And it has helped him tremendously.!
