Quality Product and Great Amazon Service
I have purchased and installed at least a dozen of either the Schlage or the Kwik Set electronic lock sets for my home, office, garage and places of employment over the last 20 years. Usually I pick them up at the local big box store, but this time I ordered two Schlages from Amazon. Both the Schlage and Kwik Set get the job done and work well for 2 to 3 years, depending on environment. The biggest problem is the numbers on the keypad crack and become illegible, and eventually the keys don't always make a good contact. Neither company sells replacement keypads, and although they have a warranty on finish, good luck getting a hold of them for any kind of warranty. I have tried over the years, and both are terrible. It isn't worth my time to sit on hold. I just buy another one and consider it part of the maintenance costs. Both companies should consider engraved metal buttons. Sunlight destroys these plastic buttons. In general, Schlage is the heavier duty product. The Kwik Set is easier to install a new battery in. Just pop off the indoor plastic cover and snap in a new battery. The Schlage is a little harder in that the inside half of the lock assembly is removed, and you have to juggle that while replacing the battery. It is a bit fussier, but it is not something that you have to do very often. The Schlage has a novel method of keeping the outdoor half in place. It is a small threaded fastener with a Philipp's screw head, that engages a plastic plate on the inside of the door. Once you have figured it out, it is quick and clever. I have broken the plastic without issue. Programming either brand is straight forward. Both come with a spare mechanical key to open the door should the battery run dead. Now, about Amazon's great service. I ordered these locks on a Monday. They arrived the following Wednesday. When I opened the packages, both locks looked like they had been repackaged by somebody eating a greasy cheeseburger. Both packages had been opened, as confirmed by a second seal placed over the cut one. Some of the parts were loose in the box. With something as important as getting into my house, I did not want to use these. I set them up for return, and the replacement product arrived the following Saturday! That is really is awesome customer service. Interestingly, the new pair were in sealed boxes too, and the body of the locks had fingerprints on them. Not greasy smears like the first set, but whoever did the final packaging was obviously not wearing gloves. The prints wiped off easily, no harm no foul. I believe this is a manufacturing issue, not Amazon. I include these details in case your locks arrive the same way. Overall, I really like my electronic door locks. I think you will be pleased with whichever brand you purchase. Schlage is a few dollars more, but is a little bit better built. You can't go wrong with either one. Choose the one that is on sale or the one you are already familiar with.

It's a Schlage, it should be good
Very pleased with this product. In fact, I went and got a second one and wondered what took me so long the get these. Easy to install, program and use. The keypad lights up by touching the top oval button, therefore making it easy to use in the dark. With regard to the appearance, which is as important to me as functionality, it is very nice looking and seems to be of high quality. To me it was a good buy and the value is there. Been a Schlage consumer for a long time but I did weigh others against Schlage and nothing beat it for the money.

Well built sturdy lock that is very easy to install, operate, and program entry codes
Took me a whopping 5 minutes to install after giving the instructions a quick read (very good instructions). It looks nice; a tad bulky, but overall very clean appearance. The quality and weight of the assembly is very sturdy (I'd go as far as saying commercial in quality) and is SIGNIFICANTLY more robust than the 'contractor grade' doorknob my home had prior to this. The installation and programming instructions were well done which made installation and programming codes a breeze.

Solid performer and good warranty
I purchased this lock back in 2018 and it has worked faithfully since. It recently developed an issue with working intermittently. I got a customer service person on the phone (who was knowledgeable and helpful, not a call center) and we worked through it, and even though it is 7+ years old, the issue was covered under their 10 yr warranty and a replacement is under way. You won't see that post purchase service or long warranty on a cheaper generic company door lock, so it's one of those cautionary tales to spend the money up front if you want a long-lasting product.

Great door lock for price!
Prices are more than I care but seems like decent considering the times. Was happy in install as it was easy, setting codes, also easy. One of the two I bought locked me out 1 few times, after a month or so of use, it hasn't happened again... maybe the spring inside is just not as good as it should be and gets stuck. So I would recommend having the key handy somewhere and or making sure your batteries are good quality and up to par. Batteries are included but not of any high end type, so I switched out to name brands I know work well. Seems to do good so far, had them 6 months now, no show of deterioration yet in Florida weather. Though they do live the good life under the soffit and very little sun or rain. Cheers! :-)

Perfect handles for my shop
The Plymouth unit here is a little more heavy duty than the Camelot unit I have on my house. The thicker handle feels a little more substantial which is great for my use. I’ve got similar Schlage products in excess of 10 years old and have no doubt I’ll get many out of this one.

QA has gone downhill.
I am a professional locksmith and have installed several FE575 and FE595. I recently installed an FE595 for a customer. After about two months, they called me complaining that the 2 button works intermittently, causing them to have to enter the code several times to get the lock to unlock. I ordered a new FE595 only to have the same thing happen with the 0 and 2 button. VERY FRUSTRATING.
