05074700001 "Kraftform 7440" Torque Screwdriver - Silver

Needs a very particular low but accurate torque. This is calibrated and certified, and does the job.

theres a reason that as an engineer, i go back time after time to wera when i need tools. great price and they just work, and work well. you don't have to worry about them failing, or something not working as it should, they just work well. the only thing id like to be better from wera torque drivers is the +/- 6% on the torque tolerances, a but tighter would be better, but then again, they'd be a lot more expensive!

Spent a lot of time looking for a Torque screwdriver that would go down to less than 1Nm. So far this has been great, easy to change the torque on and takes regular bits so easy to swap out to what ever you need.

I have a number of these drivers. Buyers should be aware that the images Wera provides of the tool are doctored - the calibration scale runs as expected from lowest torque when fully screwed in to highest when the collar is turned fully out. The values are given on the shank to 2 decimal places, and the text of the engraving is far smaller than their other torque adjustable drivers. I need a magnifying glass to set the tool. The signature of the operator on the calibration certificate is also tiny. Having said that, it is by far the best torque adjustable driver I have purchased.

Not as advertised. This was my second Wera torque screwdriver. I previously bought the WER074701 which works great but can not go lower than 1.2nm. I ordered the Wera 05074700001 which is advertised as 0.3 to 1. However, it does not seem to be adjustable. Mine came preset, see the attached photo. It also looks as quite a poor job was done of setting at as the top all seems chewed up.

I eventually bought one of these, despite the high price, to fit PC contact frames and heatsinks. Most of them require 0.3Nm to 0.6Nm for the fittings and do not like being over-tightened. The one thing I found out is that most heatsink fastenings do actually stop at the correct torque! But contact frames don't. Anyway, believe me, you sleep easier at night knowing that you haven't over-stressed these very important PC parts. I should have bought one years ago. Highly recommended.

Extreme quality product like all WERA easy to adjust torque, easy to use and comfortable to handle. Compativel with regular bits, and comes calibrated from manufacture. I use it frequently in my work.

Love the overall feel of this screwdriver and love the variable tension that can be set. When the tension level is reached you get positive feedback and can’t tension it beyond this setting

Easy to operate and the tool is high quality. Cant go wrong with Wera tools, always impressed by the quality compared to other tools of similar purpose.
