but the results have been amazing! None of my Bermuda grass was harmed
I had Trugreen for a year, and still purchased Ortho Weed Be Gone with Crabgrass Killer to treat the weeds in between. I had more success with the Ortho product, so I fired Trugreen and decided to do it myself. The Ortho product was ok, but didn't offer the results I needed for my weed-infested yard that had been unattended for at least 2 years before I bought the home last year. A quick Internet search led me to Green Light, which was cheaper, and supposedly much more potent Ortho weed killer, so I figured it was worth a shot. The Green Light arrived in 2 days, and I eagerly mixed up a batch as soon as it arrived. I forgot to add the dish washing liquid, so I was sure to saturate the crabgrass thoroughly as I treated. Within a few days, I noticed the crabgrass starting to brown and curl up, but I wanted more. I mixed up a second batch maybe 3 days later, and this time, I added DW liquid. I had many large patches of well-established crabrass that that had already started shooting up long seedlings which always towered well above the rest of my grass, so I focused my attention on covering each patch thoroughly from base to leaf. Now I know I over-used the Green Light, but the results have been amazing! None of my Bermuda grass was harmed, and all of that ugly crabgrass died within days. I used a shovel to scoop up the patches, and they quickly started filling in with healthy grass without me seeding or plugging them. I was sure to water my lawn the night before applying the Green Light to help prevent chemical damage, as its been pretty hot and dry here in Atlanta. I would definitely recommend Green Light to anyone who is looking to get control of crabgrass. Trugreen tried convincing me I had to live with crabgrass til they could apply pre-emergent this Fall in hopes of preventing its return next year. It's never too late to kill crabgrass-even mature crabgrass that is stubborn and has been there a while. With a little patience and Green Light, I turned my yard around in less than a month!

Works good, add a surfactant
This stuff works pretty well. I believe that a lot of the issues that is causing people in these reviews to have this not work is the fact that they are not adding any sort of surfactant to the hand can when they spray. if you do not have a surfactant, the chemicals will not completely coat the crabgrass and will instead bead up. also, if you are trying to apply this to crabgrass that is more mature, past the 3 till, you may need to use something more potent, like tenacity.I did a treatment on some areas along my driveway that was getting pretty overrun with crabgrass. Most of it turned brown within a week. a second treatment took care of a good portion of the rest of it.

Happy with this purchase
Happy with this purchase. Directions said to mix 2oz per gallon, but I mixed a little more than 3 oz. to a gallon in a pump sprayer tank. I also used 1 tbsp. of surfacant. I have a lot of crabgrass in my lawn this year. I went around and sprayed it on clumps of crabgrass and individual spots. Within about 24 hours much of the crabgrass had taken on a yellow color and stopped growing. By 48 hours it was noticeably dying. After a week most of it was wilted and dead leaving behind patches of brown spots. However the grass in those dead spots was still green and growing. In some areas you can clearly see only the crabgrass plants turned brown. On the first application I killed maybe 75-80% of all the crabgrass in my lawn. Now 2 weeks later I'm going over some areas that are still growing. Maybe I missed them or maybe they started growing after I sprayed. Either way... I'm happy with this product and so much cheaper than Drive XLR8 or some other options.

Weak
It really doesn't do well on crabgrass... Turned some it red, but it lived on. Must use something with MSMA to kill CRABGRASS and the like.

Garbage
I rarely write reviews unless something works really well or does not work at all. In this case, this product is trash. I would guess dye and water. Quinclorac Is extremely effective at killing crabgrass and I have used various products over the years, even with much lower concentrates than what this product claims, and they all have done the job. I did four stronger than recommend applications of this product spaced out every week and a half and it literally had zero effect. My best guess is this product is dye and water. The one thing I can assure though is this product does not contain a drop of Quinclorac in it. Complete scam.

Makes Broadleaf Weeds Sick and Crabgrass Loves It
I first tried it at the recommended dilution and sprayed all my broadleaf weeds and most of my crabgrass. It made some of the broadleaf weeds sick, but the crabgrass simply said, "I'd like some more please." After two weeks I mixed it at double the concentration of what the directions called for. It killed the broadleaf weeds but the crabgrass is still asking for more. I usually use another brand of lawn weed killer. I found this stuff to be less effective than it. The only thing that I've found that kills crabgrass kills everything.
