Know What This Is and What It Does
This does exactly what it is supposed to do and nothing it does not. It will directly convert analog RF signals from fiber back to coax. It will NOT work with a modem, it will NOT work as a transmitter, it will NOT work on EPON. It is literally just a phototransistor in a box.

Upgraded to fiber and wanted to keep my Nighthawk Router/Modem so gave this a try. Does not work to swap fiber to coax. Spend the money and get an actual inverter

If your light is at zero, It can do the RF downstream only at around ~5 . No return signals. At below zero, nothin' at all.
