Best trap - effective and durable
This is the best trap for squirrels. I’ve tried three different brands. They were all good for catching the squirrels, but the other two were easily broken by the squirrel trapped inside and only lasted 3-6 uses. This trap is good for catching the squirrels but also, durable enough to reuse again and again. I have caught a relocated 13 with this one trap and it’s still in great shape. Highly recommend.

Effective and Humane — Worked Even Without Bait
After a squirrel invasion hit my neighborhood, I needed a humane way to stop the chaos—digging in flower beds, wrecking the garden, and dumping dirt on the driveway. This trap has been incredibly effective. I started by baiting it with peanut butter sprinkled with sunflower seeds, which worked well. Surprisingly, I’ve also caught several squirrels without using any bait at all lately! The trap is sturdy, easy to set, and allows for safe relocation. If you're dealing with garden pests and want a humane solution, this is a great choice.

Great but wish it was a little bigger
I purchased this squirrel cage after noticing increased activity around my bird feeders and garden. After some research, I chose this model due to the solid reviews, reasonable price, and humane design — and I’m happy to say it has lived up to expectations in nearly every way.The cage is well-built with sturdy metal wiring and a reliable spring-loaded trap door. Setup was straightforward — I just placed some peanut butter on a cracker on the trigger plate, and within 24 hours, I had my first little visitor. The door snapped shut cleanly and securely, and the squirrel was safely contained without any signs of injury or panic. I’ve now used it multiple times, and it’s worked consistently every time.I appreciate the thoughtful design, especially the smooth edges and the handle with a protective plate, which makes transporting the cage easy and safe. The trigger mechanism is sensitive enough to trip even with lightweight squirrels, but not so touchy that it misfires when bumped or jostled by the wind.My only minor gripe — and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 — is the size. It’s adequate for smaller squirrels, but I do wish it had just a bit more room inside. A slightly larger size would reduce stress for the animals and give them a little more space to move until I can release them. If you’re dealing with larger squirrels or plan to use this for other small critters like chipmunks or rats, you may want to look into a larger model.Overall, this is an excellent, humane trap that works exactly as advertised. It’s a great solution for anyone looking to relocate squirrels without harm. Just keep in mind the size limitations — otherwise, it’s a solid investment and one I’d recommend.

Caught 3 squirrels in 36 hours
I HAD a squirrel problem. Not your typical urban squirrels, but desert rock squirrels. Digging under foundations and walls, and destroying the flowers I planted, and gobbling up the bird food I threw out for the birds here in the Chihuahuan Desert. It's bad enough that I have to deal with scorpions, tarantulas and rattle snakes... but squirrels too!? I placed a chunk of peanut butter on a small piece of scrap metal in the area behind the trigger, set the trap in front of their den, and within one hour I'd caught one. The trap isn't small, it's medium sized and plenty big for the average squirrel. The next morning I set the trap again and caught the second squirrel within an hour. I caught the third one the next morning. Within 36 hours, all three squirrels were gone. Problem solved. I've used poison, I've shot at them... so I'm glad I found a fast, effective solution. Best 30 bucks I've spent in a long time. Now I'm curious if it will be effective against the pack rats that live in one my my large cacti... This isn't a mice catcher (the grid holes are too large) but pack rats are big, so maybe it will work.
