I recently purchased the ZIZZON Ingrown Toenail File and Lifters set, and it has been a lifesaver for my ingrown toenail issues. This kit is a must-have for anyone dealing with painful ingrown nails. Starting about 3 years ago I have bought and tried many tools for treating ingrown toenails. By far the most effective tool has been this Zizzon ingrown toenail file. It is easy to handle, useful for reducing the sides of the nail, useful for smoothing the sides of the nail and useful for finding and removing any portion of the nail that is embedded in the skin. The file also reduces hard callouses that the skin forms in response to pressure from an ingrown nail. No elaborate preparation is needed to use the file. Although it helps for the nail and skin to be softened by a bath or foot soaking, the file also works on my nails and callouses when dry and firm. With this file I can get immediate and lasting relief. I sometimes use a lighted magnifying glass with this file to pinpoint the source of pain. My ingrown nails are hereditary and affect my big toes only. I use a stainless steel MR.GREEN file instead of clippers to control the nail's length and to keep the front edge and corners of the nail smooth. Avoiding socks and shoes whenever practical also works for me as a preventive measure. When the pain returns I reach for the Zizzon file. For me it is the best way to deal directly with the problem.

Good quality

Absolute lifesaver for those prone to ingrown toenails. One lifts the ingrown piece out of the skin, and does it efficiently without much pain. The other you can use in combination to saw down the piece of toenail growing into the skin. I use the hook to hold it out and the file to saw it down. Then I pack it with sterile gauze to prevent the nail from filling the space back in and it works like a charm. I get ingrown toenails like people get fries at McDonald’s. Honestly, I probably need surgery for them to stop. Once a month or so I feel my big toe, that pressure and I pull these babies out. Before I had these I would use tweezers and cuticle snippers, cuticle scissors—ANYTHING—honestly to get rid of that pain. These tools do what. I was doing much faster, much easier and with A LOT LESS pain and blood from picking. If you have ingrown toenails you know the relief of pulling that weird 90 degree piece of nail out of the side of your toe.. like instant relief. These make that relief and the dread of having to sit down and pick at it almost non-existent. A little trick I learned is that having that space filled in with gauze or even gel toenails is literally a life saver. Especially the gel nails. They fill that spot and basically ‘train’ your toenails how to grow. ***But beware of hygiene standards if you go get a pedicure. Watch for brand new files and metal tools coming out of sanitized packages. *** Your ingrown toenails can become infected.

These really saved my toe from a ton of pain. My toe nail fell off last year after dropping a box on it, and as the new nail grew in, it became ingrown and started growing into my skin. It was extremely painful and I kept trying to cut the edge off with nail clippers, which seemed to help temporarily but as it grew again and started hurting. It was so painful that I would almost cry if my boyfriend accidentally stepped on my foot or if I banged it on something. These tools are the only things that helped!!!! I bought these after searching on YouTube for “how to fix ingrown toenails” and I found some videos showing doctors using these tools on their patients. These files fit right down into the sidewalls of your toenail and you can gently file in an outward pulling motion to make sure the edges are completely smooth so they don’t cut your skin as they grow in. It was painful to get the tool in there and file since my toe was already really irritated from the ingrown nail, but I just sucked it up and got in there real good cus I knew it needed to be done. I’d rather just deal with the pain of filing it down in order to stop the future pain!! My toenail is now completely grown out and there’s no more pain at all after filing both sides. The other tool also is perfect for cleaning out under your nails when doing a pedicure! Great purchase and seriously saved me a ton of pain.

A little slow in making a review of this item but I can say I’ve used it enough to give you an honest review. I’ve had really bad ingrown toenails for at least 5 years. All the while digging and cutting them with a variety of tools/devices. So much pain, swelling, bleeding, etc. Using the file, I periodically file the edges back. Doing this has eliminated ingrown toenails for me. I wish I knew about these tools years ago.
