Q: does it have a divider inside the zippered compartments?

The zippered compartment with the opaque exterior panel has a divider; the other compartment does not. Hope that helps. Also, this is a great little wallet. It's light, compact, easy to open and organize, has enough room for what I need (ID, a little cash and about six cards - credit card, ATM card, medical card, AAA, etc.) and I use it everyday. I don't use the exterior pocket with the attachable bungee cord, and I took off the whistle.

Q: How does the wallet connect to the belt?

I don’t think it does connect to a belt. The company name is “flipbelt” and they sell wallet-belts but this item is a standalone wallet that you’d just put in your purse or pocket. I must say I really like mine, it’s small, light, well designed, holds a handful of credit cards and some bills, and my DL. It’s not fancy but meets my needs.
