KEENMen's Nxis Explorer Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots

These are by far the best walking boots I have ever worn. They are very lightweight and waterproof, and are perfect for people with wide feet.They are slightly larger than the standard size boots I wear. I ordered a size 9 and kept them but I would probably have been just as comfortable in a size 81/2

I require wide fit shoes and there aren't many around. Tried many shoes that claim to be wide fit yet found them tight.Compared to my previously owned Targhee3, these boots are more roomy, fit nicely, no crowding of toes and very soft to the sole, feels like I am walking on cotton. Love these boots. Can not comment on waterproof yet nor on its longevity. Will update after making good use of it.

I bought a men's size 6 because I have broad feet and the women's were too narrow. Getting older I need lightweight walking boots with a comfy footbed, and they need to be waterproof. These fit the bill. They are light (the women's are little bit lighter, but too narrow for me) and the foot bed is very cushioned and comfortable. I didn't want to review until I'd tested them, but now I've had a week in The Lake District and been up Helvellyn, High Spy and several other hills, in varying weather, wet and dry, and they have been perfect. Also lots of dog walking in wet grass. Even went shopping after hiking without the need to get them off asap. I'm very pleased because I can get achy fee and legs, but these were fine. Only fault is there should be another lock because I keep having to tighten the laces. I'm very happy because I've tried loads of boots and now I'm confident I can do The Cleveland way etc in comfort.

Likes: Good fit, as expected. Got them soaked several times now, no sign of wet socks. Very comfortable from day one. Nice and wide in the toe area. Can't yet comment on longevity.No Negatives so far.

I was so disappointed that the sole grips on my Targhee 2 boots had delaminated after 5 months because they, as all Keen products are perfectly comfortable for my "Greek" feet. Luckily, Amazon have a good relationship with Keen and have put in place protocols for returning products with any manufacturer quality control issues. I tried a few different brands but none had the room in the toe area that I like. Anyhow, the grips on these are moulded in and not applied to the sole, so I'm hoping they last for a decent amount of time. The soles are cushioned much like the Toga boots I tried (they were too tight around the toes) and are supremely comfortable. It's like walking on your own personal cloud, think "Monkey Magic!"

Love these, so light and very warm plus nice wide fit. 🙂

As someone with bunions and other foot issues I need a wide boot. These fit the bill and this is my third pair. Comfortable straight away

Bought these after originally buying a £30 pair of mountain warehouse hiking boots which failed after two months. I walk 6 miles a day and these aren’t showing any signs of wear as yet after 2 months.The boots are comfy light and fit well. Let’s hope they last!

Using as work boots for residential carpentry. Comfortable and durable for my use. Nice stability without being too bulky or stiff. Good cushion, but supportive. I've been hiking and working in Keens for 20+ years. I definitely recommend.

For me, after years of wearing Keens this boot really fits the bill. Light in weight yet supportive and can accommodate my orthotic. I walk/hike a minimum of two miles every day in mixed terrain with very little foot pain or fatigue.
