Guitar sounds great!
This was my first build. I had a couple issues and I was impressed with their response. They returned my email and provided a contact phone number so that impressed me. The guitar had a great fit, I put a lot into the finish using Behlen stringed instrument spray tint and lacquer. You get what you put into it. The guitar sounds great there were minor issues, I wasn’t impressed with the wiring diagram but I found one online that was much clearer. I’m looking forward my next project.

Wood skin blistered
I bought this for a gift Unfortunately, the wood skin was slightly blistered/bubbled on the curve on the side of the body ( where it wiuld rest on your leg). 3-4 blisters about the size of a penny. The wood skin is not cracked despite this. My son was pleased with the quality of the rest of it and thinks he can work with it as is. He has not put it together yet.

This was a very fun guitar to build. The build quality and fit and finish are excellent; the instructions are detailed and have the right amount of detail.I had initially intended to dye this black, but the wood is so beautiful I left it natural and went with a clear finish. I still have to understand the wiring diagram and mount the electronics, but as an acoustic, the sound is great. Neck is correctly built, no buzzing or fret problems. Intonation is dead on, and action was easily adjusted. Best guitar kit I've ever built.I'm looking through their other kits for my next project.

This baby got here quick! After looking it over pretty thoroughly, this is very well made and the wood used, especially the maple, is gorgeous and of very high quality. The price point and work involved might scare you off, but if you have the patience for it, this will make an extraordinarily beautiful looking and sounding guitar. When complete, mine will be able to slap your mother across her face and she will thank it for the experience. I look forward to making sweet ugly swamp music with this bad girl.
