Barbie Inspiring Women Doll, Anna May Wong Collectible Dressed in Red Gown with Golden Dragon Design

Mattel has out done themselves with their newest addition to the Inspiring Women's series. Anna May Wong is such a treasure and 100 years after her first film, she is still remembered and loved today with this doll. Thanks to Ryan Murphy incorporating Miss Wong into his netflix series Hollywood, she has been rediscovered by a new fan base. Mattel captured Miss Wong with the Hollywood glamour while paying tribute to her culture with her gown with the red and gold colors. The gown is inspired by the black dress with the gold dragon that she wore in Limehouse Blues (1934). This is a must have for any collector especially one who enjoys film. Being able to put this doll on my Anna May Wong tribute table in my dining room was truly worth the wait.

She is breathtakingly gorgeous In her movies and now as a Barbie Doll. I was lucky to order her as soon as I heard she was being released before running out. A remarkable and extraordinary talented actress that sadly was overshadowed by certain circumstances during the era. I am happy her works are making a proper comeback!! She is currently displayed with a screen/still picture taken from one of her movies along with a 3 movie collection set on Blu Ray.

Looks just like Anna May Wong! Only cost $40 and that is probably because a lot of people probably don't even know who she was, but I do! I am really glad I got this doll and her dress is just beautiful! Her box is lovely and I will definitely keep her boxed.

Bought two of these for my grandaughter and great granddaughter for Christmas gifts. They are both a quarter Chinese and will be proud of their heritage through this beautiful, historical Barbie doll. Definitely NOT a toy !!!

I got a a very good deal with this because it is almost the same price as Mattel online, They are sold out now...My one complaint is not to Amazon but to Mattel. Why so many Chinese dolls? Only 1 Japanese doll in the last 5-10 years...The doll looks good. I hope it's a good investment...

This doll is beautiful like Anna May Wong. She’s so deserving to be immortalized with her own Barbie doll. Love her in all her movies such a striking presence. I highly recommend to any collector or fan!
