Nice alternative to cocoa. With my hashimotos I have to avoid caffeine so that unfortunately means chocolate too for me. So thankful now to have carob! It doesn't taste quite like chocolate but its taste is quite close to milk chocolate when making hoy chocolate. I hope to use it in baking soon to get my chocolate cake fix, very excited!

Due to GERD issues, I finally had to give up chocolate, among other things, so I switched to carob. I found a Carob Bliss Bite recipe and decided to give it a try using this carob powder as one of the ingredients. Super happy how they came out taste and consistency wise so I will be using this powder again.

Really good if you like carob. It has a flavor that is slightly off from chocolate. It’s not the same. Unlike a mix in for milk, it is somewhat hydrophobic like cocoa powder. But it does mix. This has some natural sweetness. It has a good amount of fiber per serving and some other nutrients. I have not baked with it yet. But it should work well for baking. I grew up eating carob so it has a pleasant, familiar taste. It came with two packets. Not sure if I ordered it like that. I shared one with my mom, who is putting it in oatmeal. She is enjoying it. I don’t know if this is a healthier alternative but it has some good qualities. It definitely could work as a substitute in certain situations.

Tastes great and would buy again only one ingredient

I expected this powder to be sweeter and more like chocolate or cocoa, but it was not! We wanted to use this as a healthier substitute for cocoa in our coffee lattes. Carob powder adds little sweetness and a strange flavor of its own to coffee but half carob and half cocoa tastes quite pleasant. We noticed that the carob powder can be difficult to dissolve and leaves quite a bit of sediment in the bottom of the cup unless you heat coffee to about 180'F or nearly boiling, so if you like to add milk, you might want to add that last. Thanks to the other reviewers that warned us about the "Resealable Bag" which is an accident waiting to happen. We suggest transferring some carob powder to a small condiment jar next to your cocoa and put a large binder clip on the top of the bag. Recently we tried sprinkling the carob powder on top of vanilla ice cream and it was delicious!

I enjoyed it it will be a in-between coffee for me great taste.

Not a great flavor compared to some other carob powders. It works fine, and smells nice, but the flavor is just a bit unpleasant unless you really get used to it.

Actually this is the best carb powder. It tastes yummy and dissolves fast in hot water.

well-liked by the recipients, so the flavor is just fine apparently! no caffeine which is important for the kids, some magnesium which can help sleep, so all good

I make “chocolate milk” with the carob powder and rice milk for my 6 year old with eczema and food sensitivities. He loves this and could tell the difference when I switched brands.
