Very good replacement for my hot water heater eco 36.

Will lazt 6 months if you flush system properly.

Bought this tankless water heater element Nov 2023 for an ecosmart eco 27 and it did fine for 6 months. Just did a resistance/ohm test and it was open instead of the 6.5-7 ohms it typically is. My guess is the heating element inside the copper tubing broke, probably a thinner gauge then a factory element, causing it to have such a short lifespan. This was a 2 pack so the other one is now installed, will see if it makes it longer than 6 months this time. Update: 2nd element only lasted 2 months, oem elements usually last years, I will avoid these in the future.

The only reason this gets 4 stars at this time as I got this to keep as a spare for my Ecosmart tankless water heater, ECO 18, for when the current elements no longer function. And, that day will come. After inspection, I found these to be a perfect match for my unit. These were a good value and I will update when they are finally installed. For the cost, it pays to have these when in need.
