With just one battery, this is not going to be 'super bright', as previously commented. But it is more than adequate for general use and first impressions are that it seems to be well made and excellent value at that price. A quick test with a fairly duff battery showed that it works down to about 1V, better than the red glow from the non LED torch that the battery came from.

I bought a pack of two of these torch’s as I live off grid and it’s pitch black at night.i was that impressed with them that I’ve bought another two.i can’t rate this product highly enough,I’m a forces veteran who upon showing a former royal marine friend of mine he to was thoroughly impressed.there are many far more expensive torch’s out there on the market but for a compac5 hard wearing pocket main or back up torch,featuring a flashing setting for use in emergencies when out in the field or wherever you maybe this torch won’t disappoint.you can adjust the apature giving you a broader field of vision or have it on a close beam and you willbe seen.Fantastic product!

Well made little torch. Neat and useful. Actually not that bright. 300 lumens claimed; but not as bright as a genuine 225 lumen torch I own. Nevertheless, a very handy pocket torch.The best brightness comes from a rechargeable 3.7 Li-ion battery, rather than a 1.5v AA cell

These Oyess torches are made of a nice alloy with a zoom beam supplied without a battery, (AA) not as someone said aaa one did not work when I inserted the AA battery this was due to the front zoom section loosening off just zoom out screw down, now works a treat. The small size is ideal for woman's bags and it has a pocket clip installed, its not the most powerful torch but for the size I think its good value and you get two for this price. Little tip, I use Amazon basics 2400mah rechargeable AA battery for long lasting results

Have used these for last five years, good beam of light, lovely and small, can clip onto a belt or go into a pocket, only one battery, great little torch..everyone should buy these.

Small and handy torches, ideal for a night time pee in the dark.Beware, batteries do not last long.

One of them has broken. The other still works fine.They were both great when they were working, although the flashing mode is a bit annoying.
