Large, sturdy and a quality build. I use daily.
This is a really good unit. Bigger than any I’ve had and perfect for 2-3 people ( I drink coffee and want 1-2 coffees myself. So great if you want more coffee on hand. Just takes a min to brew up fresh pressed coffee. Nice thick stainless steel double wall actually does keep code hot a little while. Sturdy, and comfortable to use. Pours nice. Won’t break easy like glass. I use in my shop now every day.

2 year review with camping and daily use
2 years of use review: I originally bought this French Press for making coffee while camping. It did a great job of that, easily making about a liter of coffee at a time - enough for me and my husband to both have about 2 big mugs, while keeping the coffee hot. But where I’ve really come to appreciate it is over the last few months, when I started using it daily at home almost every day. It works so well and is so easy! I use an electric kettle to boil water while I rinse out the metal filter from yesterday’s coffee grounds — takes very little time to clean and I can rinse the old grounds directly into my garbage disposal. No need to buy new filters or expensive pods. It only takes another minute or two to pour in the boiling water over fresh grounds, stir, then press. The coffee stays hot on our kitchen counter for hours, so I can make coffee when I get up and it’s still available when my husband gets up a bit later. I’ve probably owned every type of coffee maker over the years and this is simple and makes very good coffee — and holds up to daily use, too!

Doesn't drip while pouring!
Wonderful French Press! Keeps coffee piping hot. One of my favorite buys of the year! Of course it's strong and sturdy. Looks great in the kitchen. Has a nice drip-less pour. Easy coffee making with a trusted brand. Would buy this for a gift.

This is a WONDERFUL product!!!!
This makes amazing coffee! I love the fact that it has a built in filter so I don’t have to purchase filters and it keeps the coffee warm for a couple of hours! No coffee grinds in my coffee even though I buy pre-ground coffee. Easy to clean and beautifully designed!

Great overall
I love the size of the French press, taste of the coffee, ability to use any coarseness of grounds and knowing there’s no plastic leaching in. It does a fairly good job of keeping coffee hot, but I think this could easily be improved upon with some minor changes to the lid. It’s sealed and stainless but not insulated so the heat escapes through the top. Once I’ve made a pot, I fold a couple of kitchen towels and lay over top like blankets to keep my coffee warmer longer.

This makes a great tasting pot of coffee, and the coffee stays hot too.
We are avid campers and for years now I've been brewing my morning coffee using a french press. The last one I had was metal like this one, but it wasn't vacuum insulated which was a major source of consternation as the second cup would never be hot, just warm. So when I read about this Stanley french press I knew I'd found the answer. I just had to wait for it to go on sale!! So when it did finally go on sale I scooped one up and after a close inspection I took the time to straighten out the filter-screen/plate so it would seal nicely along the edges of the pot and gave it a good first cleaning. I always measure the amount of water I need by filling up the french press to the water level I desire (usually about 1L) and then I pour it into a kettle so I can heat the water up on our camp stove. Once at the right temp I poured the hot water over roughly 7 Tablespoons of ground coffee, stirred it for 30 seconds and then put the lid on gently so the coffee would brew. I then wait for my 3-minute egg timer to run its course, and pressed the coffee grounds into the bottom of the pot. The resulting coffee tasted great and there was no issues with grounds making it into my cup. The best thing though is that when I was ready for my second cup, it was hot and delicious. That's what I wanted, and I'm glad it met my expectations. Overall this french press worked great, and cleanup wasn't bad either. I'm quite pleased with how well this works.

Hot coffee for hours, no fuss!
I’m so happy with this Stanley French Press! The stainless steel build is super sturdy and perfect for both home and outdoor use. It holds 48 oz—great for sharing or enjoying multiple cups—and best of all, it keeps coffee hot for up to 4 hours! The mesh filter works well and is easy to clean. Just add coarsely ground coffee, hot water, wait 5 minutes, and enjoy a rich, full-bodied brew. I also love that no plastic touches the coffee and the whole thing feels incredibly durable. It’s a bit heavy, but that’s a sign of its great quality. Highly recommended for true coffee lovers!

Takes some getting used to but turns out a decent cup of joe
This review is coming from someone who uses it in their RV while camping: The good: as you would expect, this keeps coffee hot for an eternity and is great for a cold morning at the campsite. This holds a large amount so you can share with others and thanks to the simple design, getting that first cup is pretty quick (~4-5 min after pouring in hot water). The not so good: Going to this from an aero press xl leaves something to be desired both in the flavor and cleanup departments. As expected, this will not have an intense flavor like you get from and aeropress. As this also does not press the coffee, cleanup is a bit messy, if you're trying to conserve water / not dump grounds down the drain (do NOT dump coffee grounds in your drain). -I've found that scooping them out and discarding, then rinsing is about the best method. Learning Curve: I grind my beans fresh, so getting the grind setting involved some experimenting but unless you don't mind a lot of fines in your cup, set your grinder to its coarsest setting. I initially started out med-coarse and that was entirely too fine and left mud in my cup. Switching my XO burr up to its highest setting got me to a tolerable level. Overall, I'm going to keep using this, especially when I want more than just 1 cup from my aeropress.

I love my French press. I mainly bought it for the colour to be honest and my friend had bought me a Stanley cup so I knew it would be good quality. My favourite feature is that you can turn the lid round to block off the spout so it keeps the heat in. Coffee stays hot for ages and when it does go cold I use what’s left for iced coffee In The afternoon

Our poor little Bodum broke. No, not the glass part, that was the previous one. This one failed at the plunger. Sad part is, had we kept the other parts, we'd be ok... Because you can't find a plunger on Amazon. Enter the new search for better coffee. I came across several models that were cheaper, but also seemed to come with faults that I didn't want in a coffee maker. Stanley French Press shows up. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but I like Stanley. They make a good tape measure. Ok, that might be another Stanley.... But I jumped aboard because I like my tape measure, and I like hot coffee. I also like cold coffee. I don't like lukewarm coffee. Sorry Luke. The Stanley arrived quicker than I could measure out the dimensions of my living room. Ok, it was about two days. There was minimal packaging, by which I mean none, so bravo for helping save the environment, or at least leaving it up to Amazon to do it. A wash later and my wife is getting the first brew going. Now this thing is big. Much bigger than the old Bodum. It's like Chewbacca standing beside Leia big... Now I know there is going to be coffee in my future, even if I don't get there right away. No empty pot for me. Score one for Stanley, it measures up! I don't know if I got the last 1/4, but I did get some grounds in my cup. Ok, we were warned in other reviews and I expected it. Not a deal breaker, but it still made wonderful french press coffee. Four pots in my wife has the idea to maybe not use the fine grind setting on our grinder. Genius. Far less, if any grounds now in our coffee. But I missed the exciting part! An hour later, my coffee was still hot! No more having to wrap a towel around the french press in hopes of getting a warm cup if there's still a cup left. No, now with this Stanley I've got a cup waiting that is hot without the need of a throw rug cozy on the counter. WARNING, this is still a french press. It looks rugged, but it still doesn't go on your stove element. Add coffee, hot water, and wait. Press and pour after the desired brewing time. Ok, ok... One more exciting thing that we haven't tried yet, since it's still snowing outside... Apparently you can use it to make cold brew coffee.... Summer is going to be awesome!
