Perlux Hypoallergenic Tencel 100-Percent Waterproof Mattress Protector, Twin

I purchased this item to replace my daughters old mattress protector, which was very noisy to sleep on and the plastic was beginning to crack. This doesn't even seem like the same item!! It's wonderful (and affordable)! It doesn't make any sound, it is very thin and you don't even know it's there! It has deep sides to accommodate deeper mattresses, and is very soft to the touch. Would recommend this to anybody -- whether you have small children or pets -- or just want to keep your mattress clean of regular wear and stains. 5 stars out of 5!

We actually got these mattress protectors for our Great Danes who sleep on twin beds. Our one female Great Dane has bladder incontinence so we always have to keep the mattress protected to ensure that everything stays clean. We previously had some covers that encased the entire mattress and zipped closed- I hated them from the moment we got them. These perlux protectors are deep enough that my Great Danes rolling around won't pull the cover off the mattress, but stretchy enough that I can wash them a couple times a week without hassle. The instructions say to use a mild detergent to clean, I use full on bleach. They still look just as good as when we first got them, after a few washes through hot water and bleach.If the day comes that I need more, I will get the same brand again.

I haven't been able to test the cover out yet, but so far so good. I actually like the feel of it compared to the terry cloth ones, feels cooler. I've only ever used the terry cloth ones so I thought I'd give an alternative a try. I'd prefer not to have someone wet the bed, but if they do I'll give my review an update! :)

We now have one of these on every bed in our primary house and our vacation home that we short term rent. We’ve used them through two kids potty training, hot summers, freezing winters, and everything in between. They’re washed frequently and have lasted a few years already. Our vacation home doesn’t have AC and I love that these covers don’t make us wake up hot like other mattress covers can do. These breathe rather well while still protecting the mattress.Update 10/2020Our son peed the bed and ruined a year old mattress. These had worked for us until now but it appears the protective coating eventually wears off.

We are happy with the covers. They are water proof, at least within the first year so far. Stopped pee from soaking the bed. I have one for each bed + a spare for when there is an incident in the middle of the night. I recommend them for the price.
