DEWALTLakewood Men's Waterproof, BOA Fit System, Vibram Outsole, Steel Toe Safety Boot

First Impressions:My first impressions are that these are a quality pair of boots, well made and well finished, substantial but not too heavy and for me, offering great support for a weak ankle I have from an old injury.The fitting is true to size with ample room for my wide fitting feet. They are comfortable to wear straight out of the box, and as they are ‘broken in’ with use this will only get better.They are my first pair of boots fitted with the Boa lacing system, which I have found to be very good indeed, making the putting on and removing of the boots quick and easy, and it also makes them easily adjustable if needed.So far my only suggestion for improvement would be that the insoles could possibly be a little bit thicker, though that’s easily remedied and for my first impressions I am happily giving them 5 stars.(This review will be updated after some time of use)

Comfortable, waterproof boots and BOA system / without lacers is very easy and handy. The insoles are thin not as good as DeWalt Challenger but I always used to buy orthopaedic insoles. Overall, very good boots probably the best on the market. Buy it.

Feel the quality much better than Caterpillar and others

So I’ve had boa lace shoes in the past while living as an expat elsewhere in the world, which had been great for over 5 years until their time was up. So recently looked to replace them. And these shoes have been perfect have only had them for a a couple days but they feel really durable and I think they should last. Will update this review in a few months see how they go.

After wearing boots for 2 weeks the back of them are starting wear already

1. Expensive2. Narrow3. Tight4. Shows -30C on them and I’ve got got last/this year when it was -5C5. Feet are getting fatigued very fast6. Not built to walk all day long

The boots are ok, reasonably comfortable, BOA laces are great. They are described as warm winter boots which i do have an issue with., with a rating of - 30. They certainly do not come close to warmth of Timberland boondock 1000g thinsulate. The DeWalt boots have steel toe, unlike the boondock which has a comp toe, which sucks the heat from the toes. The soles do not feel any different to normal work boots so no prevention from absorbing cold from the ground or loosing heat. So the conclusion is nice pair of boots but definitely not in cold weather of less than 5 degrees let alone - 30.
