Filling the bottle would shorten the shelf life because of no air around the product. Also, the bottle is made of an air permiable plastic. This why old bottles get sticky, the product is weeping through the pore's of the bottle. 50 and 250 ml bottles are not round and are flat by design to discourage any curing of the product in the center of the liquid inside the bottle. Anaerobic adhesives cure upon assembly and do not air dry, this why any liquid product should be wiped away from the completely assembly because in the liquid state it will craze painted surfaces. Half filled bottles are very normal. You can dump the product out in to a measuring cup to verify the amount but you will find you are not getting ripped off. It all about packaging. **Q: I was examining some spilled M-243 and it is still gummy after two weeks. Is this normal or should it be hard to the touch?** A: This is normal M-243 is like a light glue to hold the screw or bolt in place like pipe tape is for a watertight seal. I use it after cleaning my hunting rifle on the screws during the re-assembly process. Hope this helps. **Q: can I use this on a .125 inch set screw?** A: Yes. M-243 can be used on a 1/8 set screw. If possible, apply the threadlocker to both male and female threads before installing the set screw. **Q: Does this prevent seizing and galling? (anti-seizing)** A: To the best of my knowledge, seizing and galling occur when two surfaces are rubbing against each other (by design e.g. shaft and bushing), but for some reason (e.g. lack of lubrication) will eventually destroy each other (causing seizing and galling). So I don't think this will help prevent seizing and galling in that sense as it would not be used as a lubricant. It is possible that it prevents corrosion in certain materials e.g. steel bolts and nuts.
