MOOZICA 36-Key Chromatic Kalimba, Double-Layer Piano Layout, Solid Mahogany Kalimba Instrument (BKA36-MA)

Bought this chromatic kalimba to play song with sharps without having to retune my kalimba all the time. It's my 3rd kalimba from Moozica and they are all excellent. Lovely sound and I like that it's "half" hollow....compare the others that are not. Would definetely recommend 👌

Kalimbas are a member of the 'Lamellophone' family of musical instruments.Kalimbas, also known as:MbiraSanzaKisanjiLikembeKongomais a type of musical instrument that originates from Africa.They have been around for hundreds of years and are used to accompany tribal dances.It is also an integral part of many African countries cultural heritage.I liked the look of this, not that I know how to play it, I thought it was a very interesting piece.A lot of work has gone into making this item, and I think that needs to be appreciated.I also think it is rather expensive for its limited capabilities, but as a talking point or decorative piece it's certainly getting some attention!

The musical instrument is very well made. The only thing is the dark background and the music keys are very difficult to see also no notes or markings on the music keys

The media could not be loaded. This chormatic kalimba is a wonderful musical instrument that is fairly easy to play. Inside the box you get a carry case and the main instrument which is very well made, constructed from a solid block of Mahogany. You also get a few accessories along with a very easy to follow instruction booklet with a few pieces of music. The keys are metal and require your to depress them to obtain the relevant note.The sample music sheets included are numbered enabling you to count the keys are play the music with no knowledge of being able to read sheet music. Within a couple of minutes i had mastered twinkle twinkle little star! As you can see from my review video i do need to tune some of the notes, there are simple to follow instructions to do this included. Other members of my family were intrigued by this and we had great fun all trying to play some music from the included book.In summary this is a really good product that will inspire the hidden musician within you! It's great fun to play with and experiment with.
