Great retro craft and retro design. I latch hooked as a teenager - sitting on my bed and latch hooking row after row. Fast forward 40+ years and this is exactly the same craft and same relaxing, repetitive experience.This kit comes with a very nice pre-printed design which is incredibly easier than following a pattern. It comes with all of the yarn needed and the latch hook. The canvas has a very nice backing already sewn on it - so you just work your needle between the canvas and the backing....super easy!I actually create machine tufted rugs now, but was surprised by how much I'm enjoying the experience of old-school latch hook with this craft kit. This is perfect for pre-teens/teenagers or just anyone who enjoys a simple, non-messy craft.The included instructions are pretty non-helpful. If you've never latch hooked before, watch a few YouTubes. Honestly, it's such a simple craft that even if you're a total novice, you'll find that after following along with a YouTube artist, you'll find your rhythm fairly quickly. And I do recommend watching a few different artists because even though the basic stitch is super simple, there are a few different ways of holding your hook so find an artist that is demonstrating what works best for you.
