I ordered the large I am a average size 16 and 5ft 11 but with quite thick thighs and went off reviews for sizing . They do fit slightly snug but were not uncomfortable ( in fact very comfy) and didn't dig in at all and stayed up while i was wearing them, they came up a decent length up my thigh, but i might try the next size up to see if these are a bit longer.
