Gold, Black Tea Bags, 160ct (Pack of 6)

Amazon says I have bought the large size nine times, so it is time to rate. This is (so far) the best of the bunch of English and Irish breakfast blends at this price point. And it easily surpasses many blends that travel at higher rates. It is superior to almost every English breakfast tea sold in cups (in the US). In my experience, it has been consistently blended from good African and Indian sources to produce a strong flavory cup with good aroma. It is not very malty and leans on tannin, so avoid if that's not your cuppa. The quick liquoring dark but not black cup should satisfy American tea drinkers, and it is sufficiently forgiving that we can even leave the bag in the cup. The blenders have kept the results consistent over several years and they have kept it at a reasonable price that justifies the enthusiastic rating. And efficieent distribution means it is relatively fresh. I think the "gold" refers to an English market trend (now also in Ireland) to add good quality African teas that produce a more mellow and flavory brew but with a less dark (but hardly gold) liquor. These (CTC and fannings) products are a slight move up in price and presumably quality from the various brands' established blends. If you are a fan of Taylor's more expensive blends, you might also try this one.

I am a tea lover and so disappointed that I JUST found this gem. It is delicious and extremely well balanced. It is rich and robust without the tannic after taste. As well, it will definitely make delicious sun tea. I feel it is a great value for the160 count. If you love a well-blended black tea , Yorkshire Gold must be in your mix. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Five stars. Best blended tea in the world, it’s not a fine single malt single domain type like some specialist teas but by *ALL* of the 4800 gods of humanity it’s everything. Refreshing, uplifting, probably good for you in that tea way. Have tried a lot of fancy teas as the missus is Chinese and has some old and fermented and single domain fancy stuff which is good. Great even. But this is the 5hit. She drinks this every day, so do I. Keep up the good work Yorkshire tea company. A taste of how Empires are actually run.. a good cuppa. You are made whole, if not better, after a cup of this. Try it and see.

Delicious tea and beautiful golden color. It's my favorite tea but beware, it stains wash cloths and tea towels.

Ok, I’m might not be a tea critic but I’ve tried and drank many different teas and brands and Yorkshire gold is by far the best. A decent strength and flavour and at this price on Amazon at the time I purchased, a bargain.
