Perfect for me! (Not for everyone.)
I love cold drinks with lots of ice, but I live in an area prone to tropical storms and flooding where "boil water" notices are frequent. So connecting an ice maker to a tap water source is ill-advised. Consequently, I was buying bags of ice at the store every week. With this unit I can use bottled water and make all the ice I want. It has been reliable so far, and has already paid for itself.I really like the bullet-shaped cubes. They melt slowly enough to keep drinks cold, yet crush more easily than large cubes or crescents when used in a blender.Although it wasn't a major factor in my purchase, I plugged the unit into an ECOFLOW portable power station and solar panel just to see how it functioned. It pulled 1.8 amps when making ice, and worked the same as it did on regular house current, confirming that I could use that setup to make ice while camping or during a power outage.Note: This is not a "set it and forget it" commercial ice maker. You fill the well with water, it makes 9 cubes about every six minutes, and dumps them into a basket (and yes, that makes some noise, of course). That basket is in an insulated compartment, but it's not refrigerated, so if you leave the ice in it as shown in the product photos, it will eventually start to melt (the water drips back into the well). With that in mind, I usually make ice while I'm a watching a game on TV or something, so I can get up and dump each batch of ice into a container in my kitchen freezer before it starts to melt (and refill the 1.2L water well if needed). After three or four hours, I have enough ice (10+ pounds) for the week. This unit was priced considerably lower when I bought it. I'm not sure I would have purchased it for the current $75 (lots of similar choices for less), but I'm glad I have it.

I like it!
Pretty cool little ice maker. It makes 9 cubes every 7-8 min or so. We use bottled water from the fridge and two regular bottles gets you around 15 cycles of ice. Plus the cold water from the fridge helps it make ice quicker. It would be nice if the basket area, that catches the ice would be cooled, but it isn’t. I noticed that if you let the ice stay in the basket for several cycles, the ice starts to melt. So, the only sad part is that I take the ice out after each cycle and put it in a bucket in the freezer. But, kinda got used to that. It has the option to make small or large ice cubes, I make the large, I don’t see why you would want to make the small ice cubes. I say cubes, but their actually cone shaped, hollow inside, but work very well to keep your drink cold. It has a drain plug on the bottom of the unit that you pull out to drain any remaining water after your done making ice. It also has a cleaning cycle to use if you are using hard or too soft of water. All in all, this ice maker is great for me, the ice maker in my fridge is broke and this machine keeps me from buying ice all the time.

Plenty of ice and fast
Takes a little more than 6 minutes but works quickly and quietly. It'll drop about 6 small cubes every few minutes and then stops when it's full. When the refill button lights up it means to empty the ice from the basket. The manual says you should refill water at that point but it's really telling you to empty. The Add Water button lights when it's time to add water. Water level indicator is hard to see because it's white so I put a dry finger at the line while I'm adding water so I don't overflow. Looks nice and has a handle to carry it anywhere.

Great product
We love this ice maker. Very easy to use. It is very quiet and makes ice very quickly. I like the larger cubes because they don’t melt as quickly as the smaller ones. It’s amazing how quickly we can get the ice tub in our freezer filled up!

Okay Ice Maker
I bought this ice maker back in October of 2023. It worked great - did its job. Pros:- We had ice! Our fridge doesn't have ice, so I needed something. - It did make ice quickly.Cons: - It makes a loud noise when the water is low- If the water is low, it stops making ice, and the ice in the tray melts and/or there are very small pellots of ice vs cubes- I came home one day to it just stop working. For a cheap ice maker, it did its purpose for 1.5 years. But I would not buy this product again.

Turns camping into glamping.
I use this while camping and works great. It makes ice quickly and works as advertised. It is a joy to have ice when you are roughing it.Having the scoop handle holder on the front has its pros and cons. It is convenient to always know where the scoop is and to keep it off surfaces, but you have to remove the scoop to open the unit. Also, as I am camping, having the scoop holder in front makes it a little harder to pack the unit.If you are camping off-grid please note the wattage, you will need a robust solar setup. Probably best plan on using it at electric sites or on a generator. This isn't a knock against this unit, it will be true for any ice maker. In fact, this one showed lower wattage than most I looked at.Finally, I have to give it some credit for durability. It has held together during its travels so far.
