Simple install, easy to adjust & work very very well
Bought this set as it was quicker than buying the rear set only, already had a shop fitted front brake of the same make & model, replacing an old worn out & rusty set of Hayes brakes. These are so-say a budget set of MTB brakes, but they certainly don’t look or feel cheap in anyway. My only very minor criticism would be that the rear brake pipe is a tad long, but having a loop in it doesn’t bother me in then slightest & it’d allow for longer frames. The set also comes with olives and fittings for shortening the pipe, so one really can’t complain. 2 brake discs (160mm & 180mm), 2 brackets for adjustable installation, 2 pre built brake sets (front & rear), plus all the bolts you need and some reasonably clear instructions.Including changing both brake discs, installation tool maybe 30minutes.Would buy again if needed.

Value for money, impressive stopping power
Highly recommend these brakes. Easy to install, no messing about. Work straight out the box.Largest front disc I've ever had and thought this would be a problem to fit. But the mounting bracket fit perfectly. Great value for money and superb stopping power. WILL buy again for my other bike. I'm impressed 👍🏼

Bargain brakes
For £50 including a pair of discs they're an utter bargain. They're naturally post mount but come with an is adaptor and a +20mm post mount adaptor. I bought a set to rebuild an old hard tail and whilst not as nice as the Hopes on my FS they're perfectly acceptable and offer decent stopping power and modulation. They're easy to set up and quiet whilst clean, and certainly better than Avids I've had the misfortune of using when wet/muddy.

Exellent complete brakeset for peanuts
Really good stopping power when bedded in. You get everything you need including all bolts, adapters and spacers. They come ad post mount with IS adapters and s spacer for the front in my case as i bought the 180mm front rotor. Really nice ferl when bedded in, maybe not as outright powerful as some breaks but feel really good and less grabby than my previous brakes. They have a bite point adustment on the levet too which allows them to be set up to your preference. Really happy

Recommend them
These were purchased to replace the Hayes 9 fitted to my Kona Hoss. As this is a 2nd bike I ddi not wan to spend a great deal on replacements. Reviews recommended to fit 180mm rotors the front. They fitted easily enough, had to shorten the rear brake line but no drama. The brakes are very powerful and you can certainly lock up the rear. What they lack from more expensive systems is ability to modulate your braking. Clarkes require a fair amount of pressure on the leavers and you can modulate in a fashion but nothing like the Hayes 9 or XT systems. That said for the money I highly recommend and very good value looking smart on the bike. Clarkes do a better spec version for around a an extra £20 if you want greater modulating control.

Great performance
Fantastic looking brakes for the price. Set up was easy but it helps to visit Clarke’s website for installation. No need to bleed these after set up, took about an hour with adjustments on the disks, worked perfect and needed shortening for the rear hose but come with 2 spare olives. Levers are not too short or long overall and feel responsive.

The Best and Easiest Change to my Bike.
I own a Kona Mahuna Mountain Bike, which was fitted with Avid Elixir brakes, which needed replacing. I don't do huge mileage so good value was key. I saw the Clarks brakes, read a couple of reviews and bought them. The box of goodies arrived, all made up and pre bled, include adapters and bleed nipples and look really good. They were a doddle to fit, (I am no bike mechanic but can follow instructions), and work well straight out of the box. Really good stopping power, the lever has a nice feel and to be honest, I cannot fault them.

Great set of hydraulic brakes but......
This is a great set of hydraulic brakes works fine, however be prepared to buy a brake bleeding kit as the "factory bled" brakes in my experience was poor at best.
