okay im a pale girly and Ive been looking for a good natural looking tan that doesn't break the bank. I've tried a lot of tanners, and have been having problems with my skin not even absorbing the tan at all. I've tried Minetan, b.tan foam, Jergen's gradual tan, etc but OMG this is so good. the gel is very liquid so be careful not to drop it on things. it's also not forgiving if you miss some spots, so be attentive and make sure you apply it everywhere. I used the glove that it came with. yes this gives a super NATURAL color. I put it on and let it develop for around 18 hours. It continued to get darker and darker throughout the day. I missed a spot on my arm, so went over it with a second layer the next night and let that develop for the same amount of time and OMG: perfection. It's just a nice golden color that you can customize. Also I have to wash dishes all day and I was rinsing and drying my arms a LOT and there's no crazy streaks or anything as a result. I love love this gel. and there's so much in the bottle. The smell is nice. there's shimmer. the packaging is cute. also the face spray is really useful cause I wash my face more than my body and I struggle with keeping it as dark as my body.These got me rightttt. my new favorite tanner. gonna be coming back to this for a while. <3

Wow! This is a game changer. I saw a video on tik tok about using this as a gradual tanner to keep your sunless tan going longer. I’ve used this 2 weeks in a row now and it really works, I’m darker than I have ever been. I put my normal sunless tanner on and leave on for a few hours then rinse off. Don’t use body wash or lotion for 24 hours after applying the sunless tanner. After the 24 hour period and you take your normal shower with body wash, mix equal parts of this with Hempz lotion and use a mit to rub into skin. I will do this every night but after 2 or 3 nights I am extremely dark so I will only do this to keep the color up after showering if needed. I started using only raw sugar body wash as well because it doesn’t strip the tan. On the nights you don’t use this just use Hempz moisturizer. I usually exfoliate and shave on Saturday to prepare for my new tan Sunday but with this routine it will last longer than a week. I’ve never had a sunless tanner last this long and stay this dark throughout the week. Also I’ve used different sunless tanning foams for my base tan and it didn’t seem to make a difference with how well this works.

I bought this because it said it does not have that fake tan chemical smell. While that was true when I initially put it on (it has a beachy coconut scent) that chemical smell came on strong the second I got a bit warm and/or washed my face and hands. I don't believe there is a self-tanner that does not have that chemical smell. That is likely because it comes from an active ingredient. I was hoping this brand might have developed a way to neutralize it. That being said, I suppose this is technically sweat proof because it is clear, so you're not going to get any color guide bronzer on your clothes. However, sweating triggers that chemical smell. If that's what you're trying to avoid, this tanner isn't the solution. I will say, if you're looking for something to use on your face, it does seem to work well for that. I did not notice any breakouts or other skin issues. That is the primary reason I wanted to try the clear gel. In my experience, regardless of the price, self tanners with bronzers tend to produce inconsistent results and block pores. I did buy one of those contoured brushes to apply this clear tanner and I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was effective when applying the tanner, particularly to my hands, knuckles and ankles. It really does help to blend the tanner into skin. Based on my own complexion, this tanner is fine for people with very light skin who just want a touch of sun.

I like this product very much. The medium shade goes on as a light shade so you can put it on as many times as you need to gradually tan--instead of one glaring difference from being light to dark. It dries quickly. I haven't had any problems with staining clothes. When applying with a mitt, it's easier to apply evenly (because it's clear), rubbing it in until it dries. I haven't been bothered by any smell. The smell is minimal.
