This does the trick for matcha lattes. Maybe it’s not quite as smooth or refined as matcha costing five, ten or even twenty+ times as much, but once you’re blending it with milk, sweetener, or flavoring, you’re not going to notice much difference. It has good matcha flavor, mixes well, and is reasonably priced enough for everyday use. If you want good matcha lattes without paying for the ceremonial-grade mystique, skip the pretensions and get this.

This makes a super yummy iced matcha latte at home. I’m obsessed! The container is so big and should last me a good while. It’s pure matcha and has no added ingredients, like sugar, which I love! 10/10 🙌🏼

This matcha is great value for the amount you get. It is a XL size and will last you a year or more. bought this almost a year ago, and have a matcha everyday during the work week and am still maybe only halfway through. The quality of the matcha is not Japanese ceremonial grade, but I appreciate that it’s organic. Ceremonial grade matcha has a more vibrant green colour. This is more of a darker green. A great matcha for everyday, baking and making icecream with etc. It does lose its colour if not kept properly, so make sure to store it in an air tight container. If ok doubt you can keep in the freezer as well for guaranteed freshness. Definitely give you a good amount of caffeine for energy as well. I don’t drink coffee anymore because this gives me energy without all the jitters :) it tastes great and makes awesome lattes.

Let’s first begin with the packaging. I purchased the 16oz tin. It is packaged beautifully in a box with its own opening tab that you pull and the box opens. I then noticed the spoon was packaged outside the tin, thank you for not burying it in the matcha like when you get protein powder and you have to be an archaeologist and find the scoop! The tin was vacuum sealed, upon opening, do it slowly or matcha will fly all over, I noticed the matcha had a nice color with an earthy smell. I have been drinking matcha for years, even before it was a fad. I have tried a lot of brands, sweetened and unsweetened. I like a nice earthy taste to my matcha with a hint of sweetness sometimes, but not always. I always mix my powder with hot water first with a hand held frother. I added two scoops because again, I like the earthiness. It blends very nicely and I got a little froth which is great. I then added my protein non dairy milk and some ice. It tastes fantastic. Nice and earthy and as you can see has a nice color, it’s not brown which you can get from bad matcha or low grade leaves. I will keep my tin in the fridge for freshness as the ingredient will stay fresher. It is also nice for days when you don’t want the coffee buzz as this is low caffeine but a sustained caffeine. Coffee gives you that quick boost that doesn’t last, matcha is a long slow boost. All in all I am very pleased with the product and 1 ingredient list and would recommend to anyone who enjoys the natural flavor of matcha.

I read a few bad reviews that are on here and I was surprised. I just got mine and I didn’t measure anything. I just boiled water in my tea pot and filled my coffee cup about halfway up put in one scoop of Matcha and used my little hand whip and then put in a little coffee creamer and it tastes great to me. Now maybe I don’t know what Matcha is supposed to taste like because I don’t have a lot of experience with it, but it taste pretty good to me. It taste nice and clean. It does not taste like dirt. It actually taste very earthy and green, but not dirty. I don’t think I will have any problem consuming this product. I don’t think I would like it without the creamer, but I don’t like coffee without creamer. To me coffee is the nastiest bitterest thing I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know if those people just got a bad batch or what but I definitely think it is worth the money and a 16 ounce tin could last an entire year considering I won’t drink this every day and it only takes one scoop for a half a cup of tea. Looks like the best deal going to me unless you want ceremonial grade, which is very pricey and comes in small amounts. Don’t be afraid to give it a chance, but if you do know that you can’t return it if you don’t like it AND it is not bitter at all. And it’s not sweet because it’s not supposed to be. Says it. Someone on here said this is grown in China. It says USDA organic also says origin is North America not China. I always look for products grown in the US. I would never have bought it if I thought it was grown out of the United States.

For the money, you really can’t go wrong with this giant, one pound can of matcha powder! At just over a dollar an ounce, this will go a long way without erasing your bank account. It comes in a tightly sealed metal can similar to ground coffee, without a plastic bag inside the tin. I’ve tried several much more expensive matcha powders, and I’ll explain the main differences between this DNA matcha and the others… The DNA matcha powder is on the duller green side when I compare it with the bright green color of more expensive matches, and while the aroma is there, it definitely doesn’t ‘jump out’ like the others. The seal should preserve it as it was when packaged, so this blend might not use the freshest green leaves of the more expensive brands. With that in consideration, if you’re really used to the good stuff, you might be disappointed, but this matcha is still better tasting than a few of the pricier ones. There is a very slight bitterness, but I can live with that. If you like to bake with matcha, THIS is a steal. I really like matcha lattes and smoothies and tend to use double the powder in my drinks to get a thicker and stronger flavor. This size package will be perfect for me, but I expect it would get stale if you’re a casual user. I’ll update my review if I note a lot of oxidation or bitterness before It’s used up. The texture of this matcha powder is excellent. It blends without lots of little clumps, and results in a smooth, slightly gritty consistency. It froths nicely with either a traditional matcha wisk or a battery powered one.

It's excellent for the non-conissouirs. Great price for quantity and size. Great for entry level barristas. Minimal caffeine. Low sweetness. I use it to sprite up my protein shakes. Also mocktail beverages. Aromatic when made to tea. Not suoer high quality but otherwise smooth and easy to work with. Im not a pro so not sure what other helpful things to say. Im happy with it.

Surprisingly pretty good. Yes, it's not ceremonial, but it's got a genuinely strong matcha flavour. I wouldn't recommend this for a hot matcha latte, especially without any sweeteners, but for an iced drink, with a sweetener, ie., if all you're doing is drinking strawberry or mango iced matcha lattes, this works fine, and it's incredible value for the money. The sweeteners cover about 95% of any bitterness you may experience, and unlike some other culinary matcha I've tried, this one actually tastes like matcha.

This bucket has been great. It has lasted me well over a year. With a global matcha shortage, how is this so cheap and yet so large? I dont know. Maybe there's some non-matcha in here? All I can say is, doesn't taste like it. I love this stuff.
