Effective. Really loud - they will hurt your ears at full blast

I have been getting a bit disappointed with amazon lately - it seems that nearly every purchase from here turns out to be a load of rubbish from china, some cheap plastic tat that you just wish you hadn't bothered with. Every time I read a description and believe it I feel I was deceived when this cheap cr4p arrives in the mail looking not too much like the picture I fell for on the site! Well what about this product then? Two whistles...surely you can't go wrong? I suppose they could sound terrible, they could be too quiet or just weak and not suitable for the task at hand? Not this time! These whistles are absolutely BRILLIANT!!! THEY ARE VERY and I mean V-E-R-Y LOUD!!!! LOUD! LOUD! LOUD! I have not heard a whistle this loud ever before. You will not be disappointed in the loudness. If there was ever an emergency situation, someone lost on the mountains or woods, or injured and in need of drawing anyone's attention then these would be the whistle you really would want to have on you. Could absolutely definitely be a life saving device to be carrying. That fact alone is enough for me to be very glad I chose this particular whistle./ The fact that they come as a pair is just a huge bonus. For me it means that me and my partner can have one each, or I give one to my son and partner if they go for a walk as they like to do. If you are looking for a whistle for just about ANY purpose, look no further. These are very much the best you will find. The sound is a strong, clear note that never breaks up or waivers, and a weak blow will even bring a strong sound. A solid and simple design that should be very strong and reliable. It's very loud so should be heard from a long distance. The strap is just about okay. The clip let's it down. It's not very strong. An emergency whistle needs to be there in an emergency and I'm not sure the clip is up to the job. Can't fault the whistle though.

Super loud and great; shame I lost one but this is really the best one out there! Ear piercing, portable, subtle slim and always easy to get it past in hand luggage.

The whistle is a bit surprising as - with no pea - it sounds excellently loud and clear. At this price I would say excellent value for money, durable and of an excellent small slimline size. The ease of use and durability, again, without a pea is excellent and has stood up to much testing so far. Brilliant.

Can't really give item any less than 5🌟's It's a whistle, although not as sharp or as loud as I had expected, after reading description. It does the job to be fair. I use it in a large gym hall, that's got a lot of noise with badminton going on. So yes the whistle is heard. value can't complain you get two, safety, you can hear the whistle, easy to use....you blow into it! Yeah it is used as a safety device at archery

Bought ready for climbing trip. Good value especially as there are two whistles . Can attach to lanyard or keyring. Well made . Haven't need it yet for an emergency so cannot comment on true volume but seems loud enough when trying it out.
