9 Pack Chain Link Fence Extension, 25" Fence Extension Height, Galvanized Post Extender for Dogs (1-3/8",Silver)

We recently rescued a puppy and added her to our pack. Well, as she grew up we found out she was a jumper, and our fences were no match for her leaping ability. We added these to our chain link fence with some pasture fencing strung between the poles and problem solved. The additional height is more than enough to keep "Lucy" in the yard. Doesn't look bad as the extensions look like they belong on a chain link fence. Tighten these to the top rail of your chain link and it works fine. Be careful that after you install these you can turn the top rail of your chain link fence by pulling on these. Once you have installed the actual additional fencing, turning will not be an issue. We did use metal pull-ties to attach fencing to this pols.

I got this today, cannot wait to try it out. It worked perfect for my purpose. It fits well to the fence rail, it will not swing left and right because it fits so tight to the rail, but it can still swing up and down, luckily I figured out a way to tight it to the fence, the design of Bolts is genius with square shape so it will not move one side, you just need to tight up the other side, unfortunately I received a damaged package, some bolts and nuts are missing, I hope they will send to me. Overall, I am really happy with this product. I had tried similar products, they just couldn’t stay sturdy, some are not even square shape, so you cannot fit them perfectly to the rail no matter how much you tighten them up. I am glad I found this one, thank you.

This is a very nice product. Had to put screws into top rail of chain link fence to stop it from turning because the lattice sections did not stay lined up once that was done it worked out well

Our new dog had no trouble scaling the fence in our yard. Using these extensions along with some 2” x 4” wire fencing fencing material solved the problem handily. As other reviewers mentioned the bracket mounts had to be spread a bit to more easily place them on the chain link top rail. I used a short length of all thread rod with two nuts to force the opening a bit wider. When mounted on the chain link top rail the extensions did make the top rail turn with the leverage they had. I pined the top rail in each end post top rail coupler with a 1/4” bolt and nut to prevent the top rail from turning. I fastened the fencing to the extension posts and top rail by twisting some scrap 12ga electrical wire around it to secure it. The supplied hardware is metric, the nut requires an 18mm socket.

I would recommend for your backyard if your doggies like jumping fences.
