Gulfcoast Robotics] Modular Y Carriage Plate Upgrade for Ender 3 S1 and Ender 3 S1 Pro 3D Printers (3-Point Leveling Adjustment)

Arrived ahead of schedule. It is an extremely well finished piece of aluminum.

Three point levelling is an idea that just makes sense. Most things that have to be levelled are designed with three screws, but the Ender-3 line for some reason requires four. Three points define a plane, and the fourth point is either adjusted perfectly, or it's putting tension on the bedplate and pulling it into a pringle shape. I was in the middle of designing this exact part, and thought 'I can't possibly be the first person to think of this'. A bit of googling, and behold, Gulfcoast Robotics beat me to it. Quick install, great fit and finish, certainly nicer than the version I and my hacksaw would have made.

Even better than I imagined. Excellent machining quality! Fantastic upgrade to the Ender 3 highly recommend if you're trying to increase your print speed. 3 point leveling is great! Try stretching your bed springs if you have issues! Fixed mine.

It's a good product, dont get me wrong, but not for 3 point leveling unless you have a specific type of bed. Seems that the bar on the normal E3 version doesn't come with the other version that I had ordered which means it can only, for the most part, be used with 4 point leveling. Seems a combination of that not being explained on the item's page very well as well as me not noticing in the pictures the bar does not appear in the S1 version's pics. Kinda on both of us here. Giving it 4 stars since it is solid and flat but not giving it 5 since it doesnt really do what one would expect of it given the title. I should have paid more attention to the other review that mentioned this but I had took that as it had just not come on that person's order but was supposed to. No it seems that you do not get the plate at all.

So I've had this for awhile now and it's definitely my favorite upgrade. I love the 3 point level and the reduced weight. I coupled this with some solid bushings instead of springs and I rarely need to level. It was easy to install as well. Great product and company to deal with honestly.

Swapping to this lower bed weight and allowed higher acceleration after I put tuning. Glad was still available here as their site is shut down.

Parts were High quality, however I wish I had orderd this with the Rail kit instead.
