A: No, this stays in the machine throughout washes too :-)

**Q: how does the liquid get out of the container? How does this work? Several washes and liquid still there.**
A: I’m not exactly sure how it works. Mine diminishes after several washes so I know it’s working properly. Mine will last up to 3 months. I love them! I hope that answers your question.
