BrotherSA213 Serger Gathering Foot, Silver

I wasn't aware that my machine came with one of these and I purchased another, but its good because I will keep it for a spare... It works just like its supposed to. You have to change the settings on your machine for this to work. Depending on how many ruffles you want and what kind of fabric your using the settings will be different, probably a good idea to write them down. There are videos on youtube to help you with the settings for this foot.

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter 3 months ago, and she has been using it quite a bit. She designs and makes costumes, and was able to figure out how to use it without any help from me. She has made about 15 items on the machine, and it seems to be working very well for her, no complaints at all. I got her the gathering foot, and it will make small gathers, but not big bunchy ones, she uses the regular machine with manual gathering for that.

still trying to figure this one out. instructions for all these different foot attachments are very poor

Second foot I bought for my serger & I am very disappointed. I guess if I want to use foots like this or the elastic foot I should invest in a better machine because this doesn't work at all.
