Mistresses: Series 3 [DVD] [2010]

This series is a drama as opposed to the comedy "Sex and the City". The writing and acting are excellent. A bit sad, but life is not always a bowl of cherries. It portrays the life of women having to face common issues today: passion, infidelity, ambition and strong sexual needs, homosexual desires. I recommend it strongly to female audiences. I preferred Season 1, but the two others are very good too. You keep wanting to learn more about this foursome.

This is the third and last series of Mistresses (sigh) - highly addictive watching due to multi-faceted plot lines and characterisation. Well acted, capturing the traumas and pleasures of relationships well. Exaggerated of course, but true to life in many ways, this is so much better than Desperate Housewives in its subtleties and nuance. This series is rather heart rending and serious compared to the more playful first series, but still great TV. Highly recommended.

After watching Series 1 and 2 I couldn't wait to get my hands on Series 3.Series 3 has quite some suprises and some of them I found a little hard to get used to. However, I guess to keep it interesting you have to switch up some stuff for the spoiled viewer.After all, I hope there will be a season 4 ! Love you, Mistresses !

Mistresses series 3 is shorter than the first two series as it only contains 4 one hour episodes. Great acting (almost to be expected by now) and an engaging story line that charts the developments of the love lives of the central four characters. It does however 'jump' from one situation to another a little too quickly for comfortable viewing, which give the impression that it was somehow rushed, in order to get the story told in as few episodes as possible. This is the only reason I would rate this 4 and not 5 star entertainment. Still it sits equally in my high appraisal alongside the first two series and is a great addition to my BBC drama collection.

I just loved all three of the series. I know some people found the third a little disjointed but, for me, the characters developed into more interesting people - although at times they were just plain frustrating! Watching the interviews of the actresses was also fascinating, they all seem to get on really well since coming together for this series. Really hope there's more to come.

Bought series 1, 2, & 3 separately.Unfortunately not available anywhere as a boxset.Brilliant drama. I'd actually forgotten how good it was.Well worth watching, although would recommend buying all 3 series at the same time.

I loved this Dvd to complete my set of 3. I was re-watching the series and thought "I really need the last one in the series!"It's a fabulous show and I love all the actresses in the programme, they are well worth watching over and over! The rubbish on tv at the moment means I need all my dvd's to watch over again, which I enjoy if they are good.

I had the first 2 seasons and I wanted to have the final one. The storry is not keeping you in front of the TV. It looks like it quikly made yto get over with. As a loyal fan I wanted to have all the seasons and that's the reson I bought it.

Wie bei den ersten 2 Staffeln, war ich bestens unterhalten! Ich bin sehr froh habe ich es gewagt, diese Staffel auf englisch zu schauen, da ein tolles Englisch lernt.

Mistresses, une sorte de Sex and the City british plus melodramatique. Très bien joué, bien emmené, les 3 saisons se regardent avec plaisir. A offrir aux copines. Tout le monde s'y retrouve.

I was really disappointed to find that season 3 consists of only four episodes. I loved the first two seasons but I really find that the four episodes of season 3 could hvae been put onto one DVD - especially since, in the way of specials, there is only an interview with the main actresses, about 10 mins in length. Hence only 3 stars!

Loved the entire Mistresses series.

Eine SERIEN-DVD mit 2 DVDs und 4 !!!!! Folgen. Eine Absolute Frechheit, das eine Serie zu nennen. 4 Folgen für den Preis! Die Series 3 war, wie die Series vorher, wieder sehr gut, aber 4 Folgen sind absolut unzumutbar, daher nur 1 Punkt. Da kann man sich als Käufer nur veräppelt fühlen.
