TANIT is a Canadian company who makes toothpaste replacement tablets. No fluoride. No harsh chemicals. I don't believe I need fluoride any longer. I like how, as the brusher, I can cut down the amount of water I use. I follow the directions just as it's printed on the label, and vóila, clean teeth.

Good product, tasted a bit chalky but I think that was probably charcoal. In all, a good purchase that took up minimal space during my backpacking trip! Liked the no water needed aspect

While I think this will be great for travel (one less liquid to have to deal with at the airport), I was hoping for a stronger strawberry flavor. As to actually using the tablets, they work exactly like they say they will. The tablets crumble very easily and quickly turn into foam. As I’m really used to a minty fresh taste in my mouth, having no taste will take getting used to. Bottom line: I would definitely use them again for the convenience.

For reference, I like my toothpaste natural and my current favorite is a salt and chalk tooth powder formula with essential oils from Uncle Harry's. But I'm shopping around for a lightweight winner for a several-week hike, and these little pill-paste tablets looked intriguing to try and possibly lighter to carry than a paste or powder while delivering a reliably equal amount per brushing.The first ingredient in these is xylitol, and the scent and taste will be very familiar from sugar-free mints, which really isn't at all what I was going for after years of my current powder.For twice a day brushing I would need to carry at least 70 tablets (a little more than half the jar), and transfer them to a lighter container (though the one they come in, of frosted glass with a bamboo lid, is spa worthy, it's neither lightweight nor unbreakable). This works out to almost as much weight as a travel tube of toothpaste (though the tablets might well last longer) and since I don't love the flavor or ingredients list they're not going to make the cut. A 1-ounce travel jar of my usual tooth powder, which packs a lot of power per gram, will easily last twice as long.However, I can definitely see tossing a few of these in a travel canister for use on a shorter trip, after workday lunches, etc. And if you really hate the messy dried toothpaste gunk that tends to gets caked all over tube, brush handle, sink, and so on, these might be for you. They seem like an inspired choice for a guest bath at first glance but it wouldn't be all that sanitary to have multiple people plucking them out by hand…you could put 'em in a Pez dispenser, perhaps?Bottom line: A neat idea and could be convenient in certain circumstances. Make sure you like xylitol.

It’s been a month since I used this product and I am still learning to like it. I used this mostly after having my lunch coz I don’t like the way my teeth feel if I used it at night time.The tablet doesn’t give you much bubbles and I am one of those few people who likes their toothpaste bubbly when brushing teeth.It also doesn’t leave my teeth fresh after 30 minutes so that’s a big thing for me to get use to.Does my teeth feels clean? Yes but not completely! If I use this after lunch, yes it makes my teeth and mouth feels clean BUT if I use this at night, I wake up in the morning feeling like my mouth feels dirty - not sure how to describe it but it feels like I didn’t brush my teeth at night.I love the packaging and the idea, it’s just that it’s hard for me to adjust on how this is supposed to work.If you like using a lot of toothpaste and have your mouth very minty and bubbly while brushing - this is NOT for you!
