5 STARS MINUS ONE: I removed one star only because of the unavoidable waste. I did not need the EXTRA EXTEND RODS for my 32" windows, meaning two such steel rods are now landfill-bound. I think that stinks, though I'm sure there are reasonable business reasons for not offering extra models. One handy thing: the two leftover 'Extend Rods" will screw into each other providing a simple tube/rod almost 27" long, if you're handy and can use that for something. These 7/8" thick tension rods are great, at least when used at a length of 32 inches, using just the two pieces of rod with endcaps. I could have used a much thinner, less-expensive rod, but I liked the look of the thicker rod in the 3 inch rod-pocket of my white privacy sheers. (see photo) I also purchased a 2-pack of narrower AIZESI 26"-39" tension rods (ASIN: B09P53L5LF) -- See photo. Although much narrower than these 7/8" MEXAU rods, they were half the price, perfectly suitable, and still substantially thicker than the hardware store rods all over my house, purchased a decade or two ago. I will keep the AIZESI rods as an upgrade elsewhere, and use these extra thick Mexau rods as a decor upgrade with the white bedroom curtains. The section ends are threaded for connection, and seem to do that quite well, fairly tight precision without being cumbersome or finicky. I can't comment on how solid and straight these joints would be on a fully extended rod with heavier hangings, but their quality is such that I'd expect good performance. Then again, I don't usually choose a curtain rod that must be extended to its maximum length, for just this reason of wanting to avoid sag. PAID: $23.39 for "White-2P (2-pack) 28-48 inches" on April 3, 2026. The price doesn't seem unreasonable for a 2-pack, given the thicker rods, but I would have preferred to wait for a better sale.

We have had this curtain rod for 3 years now. We got it to use as a drying line for wet things while we are camping in our trailer. It never dislodged itself in the 3 years that we have used it. When we renovated our trailer shower last year, we reinstalled it. It has stayed firm between the walls during travel and while wet things are slung over it. It came at a good price. We like the white color because it blends in with the old plastic surround and the new tiled walls. Very durable. A good deal. In the picture, you can see it behind the curved rod that we use for our shower curtain.

I have these hanging in my windows with curtains and they stay nicely. Previously, I had gotten some spring rods that were another brand and they just kept falling down. Actually, it was the Amazon essentials brand. Do not buy those. They are crap and they will continue to just fall off of your window. These are way better.

I was initially disappointed when I found the rod was too big for the space intended until I realised that the mid section could be taken out. It now fits perfectly and is rock solid with the weight of the curtain. Very happy with the result!
