Effective and easy to install/operate exhaust
TLDR: Powerful, Not too loud, easy installation but needed additional items to make airtight and bug free. Overall happy with purchase. FULL REVIEW: Needed an exhaust fan for my interior kitchen and chose this option after learning it would cost thousands to install a true kitchen exhaust fan through my roof. Instead of putting a fan in a window (too far from my oven), I have put it through the back wall of my laundry/pantry into my garage. Installation was super easy after cutting the holes. It has a nice long cord to reach an outlet. It is a strong fan that moves lots of air quickly. I have plugged it up in my garage to a smart outlet so I can run it through Alexa. My only issue with the fan is that the butterfly flaps do not provide complete closure. Which means it is not airtight and I needed some sort of screen to keep bugs out. I found an 8" diameter x 4" exhaust duct coupler to extend the fan out so that I could have some duct distance past the butterfly flaps when they are open and capped it with a grow tent vent cover as a bug screen, both found on Amazon. I sealed the garage side of the wall around the coupler with caulk tape also found here. I have hidden the fan behind a tin on my wall and used window weather stripping on the back of the tin to create seal with the wall to keep any air from slipping in or out. Think it is fit for purpose and even with extra part expenses is so much cheaper than the alternative and no hole in my roof (bonus). HG Power 8 Inch Kitchen Exhaust Fan, 576CFM Metal Attic Exhaust Fan
Works really well and does the job! It has good power and helps get the air out of the basement quickly. The fan feels sturdy and well made, and it was pretty easy to install. Iโm happy with how it works and the quality for the price. Definitely recommend it!

Works, just too LOUD!
This thing is SO LOUD!!! I would never have bought it if I thought it was going to be so loud. Hence the 3 stars. Easy to install, works as it should, just WAY to loud. If I find one that is quieter, this one will be replaced!
