LifeProof FRĒ SERIES Waterproof Case for iPhone SE (2nd gen - 2020) and iPhone 8/7 (NOT PLUS) - Retail Packaging - DROP IN (ABYSS/LIME/STORMY WEATHER)

I am really mean to my phones and I work in healthcare, so I have to sanitize the thing. This case keeps me from wreaking my phone when I drop it, then sanitize it, then throw it in my bag. all the button's work and the screen works exactly like normal, even though everything is covered. I do not know if it is 100% waterproof because I never do the testing like Lifeproof tells you to. I just stuff it in there and go. I do run outside in the rain with it, though and no problems. I even dropped it in the toilet once with my last phone and it was fine, so I suspect the waterproofing really is as good as they say. I would take off a 1/2 star if I could, though because for this run ALL the colors are UGLY. With my previous phone, even though I had a bulky case, at least it didn't look stupid. This one definitely does not look good, but it sure protects my phone!

This case does its job to protect! I am notorious for dropping my phone, and this case takes a beating, but there’s not one scratch or shattered screen thanks to the protection it offers! I’m amazed at some of the saves it’s made! It has even fallen hard, directly into the edge of brick and punctured straight through the face screen. Upon seeing the hole in the screen, I was sick thinking the screen would be at least cracked, if not worse, and to my surprise, nothing at all was wrong with the phone screen! I was in shock and amazed! It’s also protected from rainstorms, keeping it water free and safe. It’s a sleek design and fits perfectly into my pockets, purse, etc. I love that it protects so well without any bulk. The color is pretty (teal) and cleans well.

Hard to find the life proof these days, thankful Amazon. I work in and on salt water for roughly 120 days a year. My device/phone Hass to be with me for water safety at all times. We are well away from civilization. Nine years with this product, and they don’t last forever but they’re super adorable and they work and I’ve never lost or damaged a phone in a life proof case. Probably about 12 cases later. But it’s the only thing I can trust my device on the salt water with. Hope this helps somebody OtterBox took over life proof, so I’m sure they’re going to continue the same standard of quality when we can’t find life proof anymore.

I bought this case because I really needed a sturdy, waterproof case to withstand all the abuse of a toddler running off with my phone. I will start by saying I love the case and it has done its job well so far! However, there is a little thin film over the flash on the case (whereas there is a hard cover over the camera itself) and unfortunately that thin film tore within just a couple days so the case is not quite waterproof anymore. I can still use it in splash situations, but I wouldn’t dare risk taking it somewhere it may be submerged at all (like, dropped in the bath tub for example). As far as shock proof durability and the rest though, it’s fantastic. I love the slim profile and built in screen cover. Do note though, this case has been discontinued at the manufacturer level—so when I reached out to Otterbox (who has now bought out Lifeproof and is phasing out many of their cases) this case is not eligible for the replacement warranty it used to be. You can get a discount on a new Otterbox case, but none of the Otterbox cases for the SE are waterproof, sadly. The FRE case is available for the iPhone 14/15 though. Overall great case, just be aware that if you have grabby, mouthy toddlers or may be working on terrain with small rocks that could puncture that film, you’ll lose your submersion-level waterproofing pretty quick. If you mainly do normal day to day things (and don’t have dogs or small kids), it’ll last fine. I’m still using mine even without the total waterproofing because it’s good enough at all the other things.

Works great protected my phone from a lot of drops, falls, and water damage from working near a dishwasher. Button response was great and the product was easy to install or take off. Very comfortable to hold

When picking a case please, please, please check the seller and don't go for the lowest price point. Lifeproof has always been good. At home I have a very busy 5 year old. At work I have special needs teenagers. Every single case I've bought from Lifeproof has held up flawlessly to both my home life and my work life. Countless drop, spills, bumps, and everything else in between. The only time I ever had a problem was with one that I purchased that turned out to be counterfeit and I was trying to save a few dollars. No one could hear me on phone calls, the plastic cracked after I bought it, and the pieces never did quite line up right. Save yourself the trouble of getting a fake one and double check the seller. Don't buy from someone fulfilling themselves and make sure it comes in the original, unopened packaging. If you don't love your Lifeproof, it's probably a fake.

Great case

I ordered this before going to Hawaii with the intention of just keeping my phone safe from splashes of water. When I received the case, I followed the instructions to test the product in water and looked at the case really carefully. It was actually really easy to install, but you have to make sure you do it correctly and don't disrupt the rubber seal on the inside! I have a screen protector on my phone so that may have interfered with the touch sensitivity, however it wasn't enough to bother me. Surprisingly, the material that covers the camera portions didn't really affect the photo quality either! I take a lot of pictures of food on my iPhone 8 and was really surprised how crisp the photos turned out. The only complaint is that the piece of plastic protecting the thumb/menu button was very thin and almost broke because of my long fingernails. The case itself is very study and I can guarantee that it was waterproof for at least 6 days. I went into the ocean, jumped into a waterfall, and even dropped my phone in the mud and it survived everything. I can't comment on how long it will last if I remove and reinstall the case, but this was definitely a winner in my book.

This is the best case I've gotten for my phone. It's done an excellent job in protecting my phone from my klutzy hands constantly dropping it. While the case wears out after several years' of abuse (due to my daily habit of dropping my phone), it has succeeded in protecting the phone every time. I've never cracked a screen or suffered any other damage that would otherwise impact the phone's functionality.

The color and fitting is fitted for the iPhone 8, but the piece to lock the charging point is quite loose. Not as tight as it should be.

The case is nice a lil bulky but nice to look at but due to the screen protector the feel is not the same there is a gap. I think nuud is a better option

Es la tercera funda que me compro de esta marca, la segunda salio malisima en cuanto aspecto pero prestaba su servicio de proteccion del movil, x eso compre esta otra, pero tras 4 meses de uso, sin quitarla ni ponerla hace que su uso sea imposible ya que no me escuchan las personas que me llaman, siendo problema de la funda ya que sin ella me escuchan perfectamente.
