A good price for a decent mouth piece
I'm more of a novice than a pro, that said, I performed well. Didn't have difficulty playing notes with it when playing a King Cleveland Tenor I purchased on e-bay that was missing a mouth piece. If I were a more experienced player I might have an opinion regarding tone. It gets the job done.

Not Bad At All
Good Asian plastic mouthpiece. It has the somewhat blunted tip rail typical of Asian style reeds and mouthpieces, but it still seems to work well with the more rounded "Western" reeds. The table, side rail, and tip rail are coarsely flycut. Despite the coarse grooves, the reed seals well. I prefer a modestly reticulated surface, because it allows for minute air spaces under the reed while providing a better grip than a smooth surface. The overall machining appears to be accurate, with relatively equal width side rails. This mouthpiece plays well. The tone is mellow and mild (dark) when compared to my brass Dukoff mouthpiece. The tip opening is on the small side, ..about .085" which makes it suitable for, but not limited to beginners. The hard slippery nature of the shiny plastic beak, compels me to recommend the use of a tooth guard. The ligature is made of very thin gauge brass with unfinished sharp edges that mar the mouthpiece.

Excellent.
Great for the price! Comfortable and sounds great.

A good buy
The mouthpiece itself works well, is fairly easy to blow with a good reed (including Fibercane), but the ligature could be improved. In general, I think a leather-type ligature provides the best result in single-reed instruments, giving a consistent "mate" of reed to table, as well as a somewhat warmer sound that I prefer. Adding a tooth-cushion pad is also a good idea with any plastic mouthpiece such as this. The price of this mouthpiece is about right (most mouthpieces are much overpriced). I ordered a Palatino mouthpiece also for my soprano saxophone; and I grade it the same way.

I would not recommend this mouthpiece
When I comes in the mail, I'm like hey my new mouth piece is here. I was so excited until I opened it. The mouth looked fine but when I looked closer and tried it on my instrument, I noticed a major problem. The mouthpiece came with a reed on it already so I tried to play some notes. The mouth piece would not let me get any notes out at all. Basically the reed that was already on it and my own personal reeds would not fit on it. And when I you try to tighten the mouthpiece's grip thing, I literally slide off. It has no grip whatsoever. It wouldn't keep any of the reeds still or in place. I know there might be different types of reeds for different types of tenor sax mouthpieces, because I am not a huge expert on this keep of stuff because I am a student, but it just doesn't seem right, my previous mouthpiece worked with all different types of reeds before, so I don't really know what to do. Well I would recommend this item if you're looking for a cheap mouthpiece.

Best value in mouthpieces. Good decision.
I purchased this mouthpiece to learn tenor sax. For the money, it was a no-brainer decision. I could not be happier with the performance. I purchased a Rico Graftonite around the same time I ordered this one, due to the good reviews on the Rico. However, comparing the two, I cannot justify the cost of the Rico vs the Palatino. The Palatino is much easier to play.

poor tone quality
Inconsistant construction, poor tone quality, but I had students that wanted to start tenor sax and this was a good value. It has been enough to get beginners to start playing.

It was the worst mouthpiece ever
It was the worst mouthpiece ever. Not one noise came out of my tenor, and if a noise did it was a squeak.
