I had a set prior to these and the stems were glass but very thin and broke when dropped. The rolled ends are very comfortable. The suction isn't as strong as the previous set I had but will do the job. It just takes longer.

I have used cupping systems for a long time now and the suction is not strong enough. Maybe this is best for beginners since there is no real suction to do any harm.
